Summer Reading Challenge! get ready forschool this fall!

Summer is a great time to prepare for school in the fall! These ideas will help children to learn and they are fun to do.

1. Practice writing your name. If that is easy, learn your address and phone number.2. Tell or draw a story for someone.3. Learn the ABCs in any language.4. Find things outside like rocks, leaves and feathers. Sort them by shape, color, and size.5. Look for shadows and reflections outside.6. Go on a shape hunt. How many triangles, squares, and circles can you find?7. Help out with a household chore.8. Play a game that requires taking turns.9. Using objects like beans or small stones, practice making faces showing different emotions.10. Listen to music and dance along.
