Dear Friends:

In the last 100 years, some things about us have changed…our name (formerly Goodwill Industries of Pittsburgh)…our territory…which now extends into north central West Virginia, and the location of our headquarters…from our first location in the Strip District, to our newest location in Lawrenceville.

What hasn’t changed is our mission – to help people improve their quality of life through work. Thousands of people find their way to Goodwill each year seeking a way to overcome their employment barriers and attain a livable wage.

In 2019, we celebrate our legacy; however, we know our journey continues and is a work in progress. Perhaps the one thing that can be learned from our established presence is that we are committed for the long run.

On behalf of the Board of Directors, staff, and the people we serve, I welcome you to join us in illuminating the impact of our work through a number of special events planned for Goodwill’s centennial.

I hope to see you at one, or more events!

Sincerely,

Michael SmithPresident/CEO
