The Namibia Labour Force Survey of 2018 will be the fiſth to be conducted by the NSA since its establishment in April 2012. The main reason for conducng the Labour Force Survey is to collect key socio economic indicators for assessment of labour market condions in Namibia. Where will Namibia Labour Force Survey take place? The survey will take place in all 14 regions of Namibia and only in selected Primary Sampling Units (PSU), a fracon that will be a fair representaon of the enre Country. How will it be conducted? Lisng phase: For the first two weeks, enumerators will visit in the selected PSUs where they will ask informaon about the head of the household and the number of household member who have been leaving in the household for the specified reference period. Interviewing phase: 18 Randomly selected households in each listed PSU will be interviewed and will represent all the households within a PSU. All the 18 selected households in will be interviewed within a period of two weeks. Why do we conduct the Namibia Labour Force Survey? To measure the extent of available and unused labour me and human resources for the purpose of macro-economic monitoring and human resources development. To assess the Employment and unemployment status. To collect data for esmaon of benchmark indicators for monitoring of development iniaves such as NDP5. How will the public idenfy field staff? Field staff will be idenfied by their ID cards and marked vehicles with the Namibia Stascs Agency logo, naonal Identy number as well as their photo.
