• Chain stitch the units together on the long edge of the triangles.

For each Chain Saw block, you will need:

10" square 2½" x 10" strip

To make the full quilt, you need (36) Chain Saw blocks.

Precutting Instructions Choose (1) of the following options:

1 • (36) fat quarters

(18" x 22")

• Cut (1) 10" square - each fat quarter.

• Cut (1) 2½" x 10" strip - each fat quarter.

2 • layer cake (10" squares) • (1) matching jelly roll OR

(40) - 2½" x 42" strips

• Cut (1) 2½" x 10" strip - each jelly roll fabric. (No cutting required for layer cake.)

3 • (2) matching layer cakes

(10" squares)

• Cut (1) 10" square - each layer cake #1 fabric.

• Cut (1) 2½" x 10" strip - each layer cake #2 fabric. (You will only use 1¼ layer cake packs.)

4 • (36) 10" x 10" squares • (36) 2½" x 10" strips

(matching fabrics)

• Bring precut fabric from your own stash. (See requirements in Yardage.)

Precutting Instructions

Main Fabric: ½ yd.

Cut (2) strips 2¼" x 44" for binding the quilt (after quilted)

Cut (1) 10½" square

Cut (4) 3" squares

Cut (4) 2½" squares

Inside border: ¼ yd. (fat or long)

Cut (4) 2½" x 10½" pieces

Outside border: ¼ yd. (fat or long)

Cut (4) 3" x 14½" pieces

Batting of at least 22" square (cotton or low loft poly)

Cut backing 22" square

Practice Sandwich (can consist of cotton or any leftover fabric)

Make it at least 14" square with the backing and batting about 16" square. They need to be a bit larger than the top.
