Fluytec’s FRP/GRP Cartridge Filters are engineered to operate in heavy duty applications, providing superb filtration efficiency and durability. Fluytec’s continuous development allows introducing new features and functionalities to our products.

FTP BL XS Series have been designed to satisfy the highest technical requirements os small capacity projects, providing a High Quality Standard option with the competitiveness of Fluytec´s FRP housings.

The Boltless XS filters are designed and manufactured according to the ASME X design code. Design pressure is up to 16 Bar for all these models, and the Hydrostatic Tests are performed at 1,43 times the Design Pressure.

“Spring & Nipple” fixing, allows an extremely rapid installation and removal of the cartridges. The careful design and distribution of the tightening rods ensure a perfect sealing of DOE cartridges.

In the lower part, the cartridge is settled in the false bottom plate, guided by a guide tube and a circular knife edge that remains incrusted in the cartridge.

In the upper part a special piece, designed by Fluytec and called “nipple” is connected, assuring their water tightness with a plastic coated spring that presses that “nipple” against the closure plate.

Opening the filter housing and extracting the cartridge takes only three simple steps: Taking out the retaining ring, the lid, and a special piece called “H Spring”.

The H spring ensures the perfect sealing of the basket in false bottom plate. Filtration is FITO/ Inside-Out flow pattern, capturing and retaining all contaminants inside the filter eventing dirt release at cartridge changing operations.

| Bag ElementsInstallation

“Bag Filter Elements” fixing is extremely rapid and easy.

| DesignFluytec’s FRP/GRP Cartridge Filters are engineered to operate in heavy duty applications, providing superb filtration efficiency and durability.Fluytec’s continuous development allows introducing new features and functionalities to our products.

The Boltless XL filters are designed and manufactured according to the Ad-Merkblatt design code. Design pressure is 10 Bar for all these models, and the HydrostaticTests are performed at 14,3 Bar.This pressure vessels are made according to the European Directive of Pressure Vessels 2014/68/EU according with the section 4.3.

The type of closure is a Boltless Quick Opening System (QOS), where the sealing is obtained through an O-ring gasket and the resistant plate (FRP/GRP) is fastened to the vessel via highly endurable sectors. The absence of bolts means no corrosion and fast cartridge replacement.


The Standard design is based in a “spring & nipple” fixing, which allows for an extremely rapid installation and removal of the cartridges. The careful design and distribution of the tightening rods ensure a perfect sealing of DOE cartridges.

Alternatively, FTP BL XL Series can be offered with an “inverted Sword” design. In this case, each cartridge is sealed individually with a sword, which are fixed to the bottom tubesheet.

| Construction Materials

Vessels are manufactured in GRP with an Internal Chemical Barrier for extreme pH applications. Therefore, this standardized product family is perfectly suitable for CIP (Cleaning in Place) processes.

As default, all these standard models are painted with a twin component paint, and UV protected for Outdoor Installations. All internal parts in contact with the fluid are non-metallic or suitably plasticized.

| DesignFluytec FCP Series Self Cleaning Filters combine the compactness and properties of designed backwash system that avoids the need of any external driving force (motor, air, etc.).

| Cleaning & Backwash ProcessThe Cleaning Process consists on an hidraulically actuated brushing system. Cleanings produce a minimum loss of fluid.

The backwash process is triggered when the drain valve is opened. The pressure difference creates a suction effect that backwashes the surface of the strainer.

The drain water exiting in the filter actuates as a propeller that rotates the backwash internals including a brush, thus maximizing the cleaning effect by combining backwash and brushing in a single operation.

| Filtration ProcessFiltration process is FITO (From the inside to the outside of the filtering element). The filtration process is not interrupted during backwash due to the product’s design.

| Construction Materials

Construction material is Fiberglass Reinforced Polyester (FRP), which has proven to be the best material in terms of corrosion and high flows.

The main cylinder of the Static Mixer is made through male moulds, following the manual applying process (hand layup) in combination with the filament winding technique. This allows Fluytec to obtain an internal surface with less friction and, consequently a very low pressure drop.

The internal nozzles made in FRP as well, are always integral to the body. Injection ports for the most critical chemicals are carefully protected with suitable coatings.

| OperationFluytec’s static mixers are designed in order to get the mixture of additives in a short period of time. The design includes a FRP ring where FRP static nozzles are placed. Differences in additive percentages does not affect in the homogeneity of the mixture.Assembly and installation of this equipment is really simple. It has to be installed in piping systems through flanged connections.
