2017 OCAA WOMEN’S & MEN’S INDOOR SOCCER REGIONALS

HOST HOTELThe Delta London Armouries by Marriott will be the host hotel for the 2016-17 OCAA Women’s & Men’s Indoor Soccer Regionals. The hotel is less than a 5 minute drive to the BMO Centre. A room block of 2 doubles or queens has been established for teams for this event for Sunday, March 5 at a special rate of $110/night plus tax. The cutoff date for reservations is Sunday, February 5, 2017.

RULES & REGULATIONS

A Fowler-Kennedy Clinic Physiotherapist will be on site for the duration of the OCAA Regionals. An Athletic Therapist will be on site for the entire tournament. Any players requiring taping must provide their own supplies. If you are not sending a therapist with your team, please contact Alison Stark at [email protected]

Each team will be assigned a dressing room for the day.

No spectators will be allowed on the field before, during or prior to the game. There is standing room above the fields where spectators can watch. Players, Coaches and Trainers will only be allowed access to the field. They can gain access through the doorway leading from the dressing rooms.

• Standard OCAA Indoor Soccer rules apply.• 2 x 20 min periods with a 2 min half-time.• Teams are allowed to warm up on the middle field.• Blue Cards will be used to show a 2 min penalty.

Penalized players must stand at the 4th Official’s Table for the entire time of the penalty.

• OCAA tie breaking procedures will be used.• The clock will be stopped the last 2 min of the 2nd half,

and the match Official will be in control of the remaining time.

• Only players that are on the Official Declaration List prior to the start of the Regional Tournament are eligible to participate.

• A team is permitted to dress a maximum of 16 players. These 16 players must be declared prior to the first game at Regionals.

• A different 16 players may play at Provincials, but they must be on the Dec. List before Regionals.

• Staff on the bench include 1 Head Coach, 3 Assistant Coaches and 1 Therapist. These names must be on the Dec. List and Roster.

Uniforms: Teams shall have 2 sets of jerseys (light & dark). Team member’s are permitted to wear spandex or long underwear of a uniform colour throughout the season. Undershorts are to be the same main colour as the shorts. Undershirts must be the same main colour as the jersey sleeve.

Socks: If tape or similar material is applied externally it must be the same colour as the part of the sock it is applied to. Players not complying will not be allowed to enter the field until the match officials are satisfied that the equipment conforms to the Laws of the Game.

Footwear: Indoor soccer shoes, outdoor cleats or running shoes are permitted.

HOST SITE – BMO CENTREThe BMO Centre is a state of the art-world class facility in the heart of London. The Centre is now hub to over 5000 teams throughout South Western Ontario and is host to different events, sports and recreation, and community involvement programs. The facility encompasses 4 indoor mini fields which can transform into a full size regulation sports field. Additionally this facility includes 8 dressing rooms, a concession stand and free parking in a seamless accessible facility. The centre also has a restaurant and lounge which will be open during the tournament.
