Beside the newly renovated Guildford Mall and only one block from the hotels. This weekend of gymnastics activity will be one to remember. Gymnastics BC has awarded this competition to be used as the Men’s TEAM BC Trials to Western Canadian Championships. This means BC’s brightest young male stars will be in attendance. Also, BC Zones 3 + 5 will be using this event as their team selection for JO 5 + 6 to attend the 2016 BC Championships.

It is an event you do not want to miss! Be a part of it in 2016. We would like to invite you to bring your Interclub Athletes to our event for the 3rd year. See more information inside! Bring your athletes to be a part of the excitement. Register early as space will be limited and spots will go on a first paid, first in basis. Enclosed in this package are forms for pre-registration, full registration, tentative schedules for both the Men’s, Women’s and Interclub events. Hotel Information is at the end of this invitation. Our host hotels are the Guildford Sheraton and the Sandman Inn and Suites, both less than a one-block walk to the competition site and 100s of retail stores and restaurants.

2016 Surrey INTERCLUB Invitational

This year the Surrey Gymnastic Society would like to invite all our recreational friends to come and perform routines in our beautiful competition set-up at the Guildford Recreation Centre. We will be offering both Performance and Performance Plus sessions for girls and boys (but only on the 4 girls’ events). Below are the details for the competition and attached (page 2) is a pre-registration form.

The pre-registration entry deadline is December 10, 2015.

DATE: Sunday, March 6, 2016 (possible 3rd session Fri. or Sat., if needed)

LOCATION: Guildford Recreation Center (On 105th Avenue and 152nd Street)

REGISTRATION FEES: $75.00 per gymnast

Payable to: Surrey Gymnastic Society (or ‘SGS’) Final entry + payment deadline is January 15, 2016

LATE REGISTRATION FEE: $95.00 per gymnast for registration post- marked or received after January 15, 2016.

COMPETITION WITHDRAWAL FEE: • Full refunds are possible for medical certificates received prior to January 15th. • Refunds requested after Jan 15th will be for medical reasons only and will be subject

to a $20.00 administration fee. • Please use the SCRATCH FORM in this package for ALL scratches.

REFUNDS: Refunds will only be issued with a medical certificate. Certificates and the Scratch Form must be received within 14 days of the event’s conclusion (March 21, 2016).

SCHEDULE: The confirmed schedule will be available shortly after the registration deadline. The tentative schedule is attached below.

EQUIPMENT: All equipment used is S/A Sports. (You are welcome to bring your own boards and sting mats. Please, make sure they are marked.)

AWARDS: All athletes will receive a T-shirt Performance Level athletes will receive a Certificate. Performance Plus Level athletes will receive ribbons for each event and a certificate.

INTERCLUB GUIDELINES Categories PERFORMANCE: Athletes perform routines and are given positive feedback on each event, by performance evaluators. PERFORMANCE PLUS: Athletes perform routines and are given a score and awarded a gold, silver or bronze ribbon on each event. Guidelines for the evaluation are available on the GBC website at http://www.playgymnastics.com/club/interclub/. Athlete Eligibility Performance: For the 2015-16 season, athletes born in 2009 or before are eligible to participate in an Interclub event. Performance Plus: For the 2015-16 season, athletes born in 2006 or before are eligible to participate in the Performance Plus category, at an Interclub event. *** There are no exceptions to these age eligibility rules. *** If you need to see any of the above rules go to the Gymnastics BC website, Recreational Program resource page and look for the links. This competition is also the Trials to Western Canadian Championships (Prov 4, Prov 5, National Open, Elite 3 and Elite 4) for Team BC. Below are the details for the competition and attached is a pre-registration form (page 2).
