Here attendees will learn about their hereditary DNA and the way it affects their family’s health and choices. The San Diego Blood Bank and the County of San Diego have combined two great Walk/Runs into one fantastic event. Introducing the 2016 Live Well San Diego 5K in partnership with the San Diego Blood Bank. The event will not only benefit the San Diego Blood Bank which supports more than 100,000 patients each year but also will present a donation to support foster youth in San Diego County.

Beginning and ending at the beautiful County of San Diego Waterfront Park, the race course will loop around San Diego Bay for the estimated 5,000 participants. Open to the public, will be the post-race Expo and interactive zones* hosted by local and national businesses, media, schools and non-profit organizations. Your organization can be a part of this event when you join us as an exhibitor or a valued sponsor.

*New this year: an Innovation Zone, Pet Zone, and enhanced Kids’ Zone!

Approximately one out of seven people entering a hospital requires blood or blood products. The San Diego Blood Bank’s products and services regularly spell the difference between health and illness, life and death for infants, children, and adults. Your financial donation helps ensure that San Diego has an adequate blood supply available for patients and strengthens the message that the San Diego Blood Bank is part of our county’s critical health and emergency infrastructure.
