Murdoch Animal Science Student Association (MASSA) Murdoch Animal Science Student Association (MASSA) aims to foster a strong sense of community within the Animal Science cohort. AusIMM Murdoch Student Chapter The main purpose of the Mets Club is to expose and involve the students studying Chemical and Metallurgical Engineering, extractive metallurgy and mineral science to the mining industry. We seek to promote the learning of skills and knowledge that cannot be taught in the classroom through activities such as the National Mining Games, participation at the New Leaders’ Conference, hosting industry presentations, organising field trips and volunteering at various metallurgical and mining industry conferences. Through our activities, we provide students with an avenue to build their professional and social networks, whilst also being able to meet potential employers in a relaxed environment.

Australia-China Youth Association (Murdoch) The Australia China Youth Association (ACYA) is the only apolitical NFP run for members, by members that works to actively foster a transnational community of young Australians and Chinese interested in further understanding each other’s countries. ACYA’s objectives are to facilitate and develop lasting bilateral friendships, partnerships and opportunities across a variety of social sectors, including but not limited to: business, academia, government, sport and the arts.
With hundreds of events annually across Australia and China, unique internship, study, and volunteer opportunities, a diverse range of publications, and over 5000 members, ACYA is the first port of call for anyone interested.

The Singapore Link The Singapore Link is a Singaporean student association that helps transition Singaporean students into Perth. :) We would host events for Singaporean students, graduates and their families and also promote events hosted by other Singaporean Organisations such as OSU and SWAN in Perth.
It is a club that connects you back to Singapore or makes you feel at home with our home cooked meals and bonding events. If you love nature and want to get your hands dirty, then this is the group for you. Being a member of MERG is also an excellent complement to students taking courses such as Environmental Science, Conservation and Wildlife Biology, and Environmental Management and Sustainability, though you DO NOT NEED to be taking these courses to join. Murdoch Community Garden The Murdoch’s very own community garden, where people of all experience levels come together to learn and share knowledge about gardening and food production. With over 80sqm of communal garden beds, aquaponics and more space to expand - room for everyone to plant their own plants and small enough to have a sense of community. If there’s something that you would like to grow but aren’t sure how to, then come on down and learn how to keep your plants happy and healthy, organically. Another perk of joining is that you get to have a share in any of the produce- from Amaranth to Mulberries to Zucchini and everything in between. Join us on Monday and Wednesday from 3pm for some fresh air and produce.

Vegans for Animal RightsVegans for Animal Rights is a student lead coalition dedicated to animal welfare.
Veganism is a way of living which seeks to exclude, as far as is possible and practicable, all forms of exploitation of, and cruelty to, animals for food, clothing or any other purpose.
Unlike the word “”vegetarian””, the word “”vegan”” specifically im-plies moral concern for animals. Therefore the word vegan extends to more than just diet. Vegans don’t wear leather, fur, wool or silk and are against zoos, circuses, rodeos, animal testing and any other industry that exploits or abuses animals.Vegans excludes meat, eggs, dairy products and all other ani-mal-derived ingredients from their diet.

How do I apply for a grant?
Step One: Jump online to www.the-guild.com.au and click on the “Clubs” tab. Then select “Club Grants” from the menu, and read through all the information provided.
Step Two: Download the “Application Doc”.
Step Three: Complete this document as accurately as possible. The more information you provide on your application form, the greater your chances of approval. You will need to do your home-work on costing and quotes as we will only give you the money that you ask for eg: If you write Club banner $150 and when you apply for your reimbursement you write $300, The Guild will only reimburse you up to the initial $150 you applied for. If you choose to purchase stationary instead of the banner, DO NOT assume The Guild will re-imburse you. The item you stipulated on your application is the item you are to purchase unless you get prior permission from The Guild.
Step Four: Submit your application online by clicking the “Club Grant Application Form”. You will need to attach your completed “Application Doc” from Step Four.
Step Five: Sit back and enjoy a cup of tea. Your grant application will be processed shortly by a select committee. The Clubs Officer will be in touch and inform you of your outcome. You can expect to hear from The Guild within two weeks!

• Food for club meetings eg: AGM.• Tools and equipment directly related to your Club.
