• $60 – Average online one-time gift in 2012
• $19 – Average online monthly gift in 2012
• 40% of Americans under the age of 35 said they used a mobile device like a phone or a tablet to make a donation. Another half of them said that they used their smart phone or tablet to browse non-profit websites and emails.
• Wednesday seems to be the day that the most people donate (number of transactions) but in the smallest amounts (average gift size.)• The average gift donated at 5:00 am is $140, which is more than double the 9:00 am average of $65.
• Only 4 percent of donors had given online in 2001. This year, about 65 percent have given to charity through the Internet.
