SVC Service Tour to Asia

June 20-25/26: Beijing Tour

June 25 or 26: SVC arrive Taiwan

June 26-29: SVC team go to mountain areas in Taiwan

June 30: Orientation for SVC-FJU Guo-Tai camp

July 1-2: SVC-FJU Guo-Tai camp

July 2 evening: celebration banquet

Teaching Pattern

A basic pattern of teaching will be 1) a general demonstration first and then 2) group teaching (with one SVC student and two FJU students). SVC student as a leading teacher. **2015: 10 SVC students

Hopefully, in groups and with games and songs our students will best engage SVC students in a lively interaction with the Guo-Tai students.

Guo-Tai students: 30 students participating in summer camp, attending July 1 morning, July 1 afternoon, July 2 morning sessions

How We Will Do It This Year

SVC student taking a lead. Have online communication via FB between FJU and SVC students during the preparation stage. FJU students: classroom observation of Guo-Tai teaching

Theme: cross-cultural communication (American & Taiwanese cultures). Possible topics--Easter eggs, Chinese Yoyo (possible to bring something representing American culture to the camp)

Activities: multiple-intelligence based activities (games, songs, chats, picture books, etc.)
