times this year)
Evaluations for growth:
“A” Day / “B” Day
A Day= Math and ELAB Day = PIE and Science or Social Studies
Why? Longer blocks of time will allow us to dig deep and be less rushed to fit in everything the children need to learn.
PIE time will allow us to give individual learning time to students to meet their needs in any subject.
Why switch for math?
Switching for math gives us the opportunity to cater your child’sLearning to THEIR ability. Those who are hands on Learners will be taught that way. This gives us theOpportunity to challenge those who need it and give Extra support when needed as well.
Unit Pre-tests (about every 7 weeks) will determine which classroom your child will attend for that unit. This may change for the different units. A note will come home letting you know who their new math teacherIs and how to contact her if you have questions or concerns.
