HULL PTO NEWSLETTER 2015-2016 School Year

Hello Parents!

Welcome to another exciting school year. We hope that you had a fun summer break with your little ones and managed to stay cool. I wanted to take some time to introduce you to your PTO board this year and lay out some of the fun events and fundraisers we have planned.

This year’s board is very similar to last year’s. We’re all looking forward to having another year together and being able to improve upon the successes we had last year. Your 2015-16 PTO board consists of:

We’d love to add a Co-Vice President to our board this year so if you are interested please don’t hesitate to send an email to the address included at the bottom of this newsletter.

We have many great fundraisers planned to help us support our school and its students. The PTO would like to help purchase additional technology to continue to improve on the classroom experience. Hull will be making a push to help incorporate more technology into the curriculum and this is a great opportunity for the PTO to help support this effort. We have the following fundraisers planned for this year:

September - Cookie Dough SaleOctober - Harkins 2016 Cups/Shirts Pre-OrdersApril - Fun Runners Fundraiser

Of course these are just the big fundraisers we are planning, there will still be many restaurant nights and other fundraisers planned for this year, so keep checking the PTO calendar and kids folders for more information on these.

For the 2016-17 school year we are planning on trying a new fundraiser that was highly recommended in the PTO survey that was sent out at the end of last school year. We truly appreciate all your responses and input. Many parents suggested we try a Check-a-Thon fundraiser

that would take the place of some of the events listed above.

In addition to these fundraisers we have many fun events planned this year that we’re sure you and your kids will enjoy. Here is a list of what to look forward to this year:

The only way to make these events a success is if we have your help. We need volunteers to help make sure the above events run smoothly so that they are fun for everyone. This year we’ll be utilizing the Sign-up genius website to help manage volunteers for these events. You can find all these events already posted at the following site. We encourage all families to sign up for at least one event. As always, your time and help is very much appreciated. If we are not able to fill the needed volunteer slots for each event we’ll have little choice but to cancel the event. So please sign up and help us make this year terrific.
