1 GWINNETT CHAMBER MEMBERSHIP & SPONSORSHIP CAMPAIGN ITS A RED CARPET AFFAIR, starring the volunteers of the Gwinnett Chamber’s 9th Annual Membership and Sponsorship Campaign! Join us for a night of hors d’oeuvres, cocktails, and Hollywood glamour at this year’s Campaign Kick- Off. The campaign, titled “And the Winner Is…,” has volunteers ready to break a leg with the Chamber’s most aggressive goal yet of $1,125,000 and 100 new members. Over 100 of the Chamber’s top volunteers will star in this campaign, eager to raise funds for initiatives that promote business development, networking, and enhanced visibility for Gwinnett and Metro Atlanta businesses. Glitz and glamour await at the Kick-Off Celebration! Dress as your favorite Hollywood star and rub elbows with the glitterati at the Gwinnett Chamber on August 7th at 5:00 p.m. Show up dressed to the nines for a party that will rival Hollywood’s biggest night! Led by 2014–15 Co-Chairs Randy Dellinger of Jackson EMC and Jill Edwards of Wells Fargo, the “And the Winner Is…” campaign offers a multitude of opportunities for engagement including everything from broad-based membership meetings to young professional development, the 1,000+ attended Annual Dinner event, the Button Down Dash 5K/10K to the Gwinnett edge magazine—all designed with business and community growth in mind. The Campaign will continue though the fall, celebrating milestone achievements at Rewards Sessions held every other Thursday at various locations around the county and at the Victory Celebration in January 2015, celebrating the top producers. Those who generate $11,500 or more will need to get ready for their close-ups during the reward trip to the beautiful Westin St. Maarten, February 8–12, 2015! In addition to supporting and building our membership organization, the Campaign also provides volunteers with an opportunity to grow professionally, expand business and community contacts, and help the Chamber become even stronger and more vital for business in the future. “Run for the Roses!” with 2013-14 Campaign Co-Chairs Carla Carraway of Precision Planning, Inc. and Sid Theus of American Painting & Renovations, Inc.

Under the leadership of Co-Chairs Carla Carraway of Precision Planning, Inc. and Sid Theus of American Painting & Renovations, Inc., the 2013 Membership & Sponsorship Campaign reached an unprecedented $1,080,000 in total sales. Our collective success is only because of the participants and teams that came together as one in an effort to make the 2013 Campaign so successful. It is because of this success that the trip to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico was rewarding and memorable for us all.

I look forward to our 2014 campaign and all that it will bring to the Chamber. Meeting and exceeding our goal of $1,125,000 will ensure that the Gwinnett Chamber continues to provide valuable opportunities for business growth and development in the years to come.

From the 50+ corporate teams participating in the 2013 campaign, 80 people were awarded airfare plus five beautiful days and four exciting nights at the Westin Resort & Spa in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. Much recognition goes to the Vice Chairs who were top producers in the Campaign. These individual success stories include Brad Carr with Andersen, Tate & Carr, PC; Dorsey Grist with United Community Bank; Ann LaFavor with LaFavor Etc.; Sherwood McDuffie with SunTrust Bank; and Raymer Sale with E2E Resources, Inc. McDuffie was awarded the top individual producer prize, raising $90,000 in new memberships and sponsorships! In addition, the SunTrust and Gwinnett Medical Center teams tied for top producing teams, raising $116,000 each. From personal and team goals to rookie volunteer and overall campaign goals, the success of the 2013 Campaign demonstrated that anything is possible with a unified team working towards a common goal—including surpassing $1 million!
