Jeep Portsea Polo 2014 - The Event

Jeep Portsea Polo combines everything Melbourne has to offer – fashion, food, wine, social scene, love of sport, and uniquely, the excitement of polo.

Held in picturesque Portsea it has become an event not to be missed. Think Birdcage at the beach - glamorous & stylish but at the same time relaxed & laid-back, it is summer’s version of the Spring Racing Carnival.

The event includes three thrilling polo matches with some of the world’s best players, live band, DJ’s, celebrities, vox pops, fashion parade, big screen, champagne dash, divot stomping and much, much more….

Each year over 5000 people enjoy the event in a variety of stylish corporate marquees, young member marquees, carpark style marquees and relaxed general viewing areas by the sea. Jeep Portsea Polo is the perfect place to host a corporate function or entertain. There are 2 private marquee options to choose from with all marquees located in prime viewing position immediately beside the polo ground.

1. Supersite Marquee $145/pp+gst (Min 80 tickets)

Your own superbly appointed hospitality marquee located on the corporate/sponsor side of the ground in the absolute prime viewing position immediately beside the polo ground.

Entertain your guests in style and mingle with players & celebrities whilst enjoying all the polo action.

2. Member Marquee* $105/pp+gst (Min 40/Max 80 tickets)

Your own alfresco style marquee includes the option to self-cater and is located on the members side of the ground in prime viewing position immediately beside the polo ground.

Host your clients & work colleagues or get together with a group of friends and share the cost. You do not have to be a member to purchase a Member marquee.

Come along, bring a friend or get a group together! There are two fun syndicated/shared marquees to choose from with both marquees offering prime viewing of the polo whilst enjoying the best of entertainment, food & drink.

1. Bulmers VIP Polo Lounge $275/pp (Min 1 ticket)

The place to be seen at Jeep Portsea Polo is the new Bulmers VIP Polo Lounge. This chic and vibrant marquee includes all-day gourmet food & beverages, music, player & celebrity appearances and is located in prime viewing position immediately beside the polo ground.

2. Bulmers Polo Lounge $125/pp (Min 1 ticket)

The Bulmers Polo Lounge is fully furnished & full of fun and includes its own DJ, player & celebrity appearances, great range of food & drinks available from cash bar.

General Admission

The General Admission area is a great place to get together with friends and enjoy the polo. Bring a deck chair or picnic rug and relax amongst the teatree whilst enjoying all the excitement of the Jeep Portsea Polo.

The General Admission area is located in an excellent viewing position immediately beside the Polo Ground and is well shaded by teatrees. Dress Code

Summer casual with clean looks and smart detailing is the order of the day.

Our stylists suggest:“For the ladies flowing dresses and wedges or sandals are the norm (heels best left at home)...a summer hat or accessory can be an excellent way to finish off an outfit.

For the gents a tailored shirt matched with dress shorts or chinos, together with loafers or boat shoes achieves a polished yet casual look for the day. Sunglasses are a must-have accessory in sunny Portsea.”

What To Bring

Please ensure you bring your ticket & wristband, photo ID, sun protection and money for food/drink. General Admission ticket holders may also bring along snack food, water/soft drink in sealed plastic bottles, as well as fold out chairs or picnic rugs for use in the general viewing area only.

What Not to Bring

The following items cannot be brought into the event – alcohol or illicit substances, tents, tables, eskies, umbrellas, glassware, cutlery, sharp knives, unsealed plastic bottles, professional cameras (small cameras are permitted) or anything that could be used as a weapon. All bags will be searched on entry by security staff and any contraband will be confiscated and donated to charity.

Terms & ConditionsThe purchase of a ticket or marquee package or use of an entry ticket constitutes a contract between the event promoter and the marquee/ticket holder. Any marquee package or ticket purchased and a patron’s entry to and presence at the Jeep Portsea Polo is subject to the following terms and conditions: 1. Tickets are not refundable or replaceable and damaged, defaced or tampered with tickets will not be accepted.2. The ticket holder assumes all risk and danger incidental to event equipment/structures and the game of polo and releases the Promoter, Parks Victoria, Focal Promotions, the VPC, all of their sponsors,

participating players and all of their agents from any and all liabilities resulting from the assumption of such risk and danger.3. The promoter retains the right to change the event format due to inclement weather and the promoter is not liable for any damage, compensation, loss or expenses as a result of inclement weather. No

refunds will be available in the event of poor weather.4. Marquee Facilities and tickets to the event must not, without the prior written consent of the promoter, be offered for resale, resold or packaged or used for advertising, promotion or other commercial

purposes or to enhance the demand for other goods or services.5. Corporate signage permitted to be located outside a marquee is restricted to the front fence identification sign supplied in the package by the promoter.6. Jeep Portsea Polo is an 18+ licensed event. Valid photo ID is required. Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian at all times. Childrens’ tickets can only be bought with an adult

(parent or guardian) ticket. Legal guardianship requires the adult guardian to be the bearer of a letter from the parent designating guardianship for the duration of the event. Children’s tickets are sold on the age of the child at the time of the Jeep Portsea Polo, not at the time of purchase.

7. The promoter retains the right to refuse entry or access to the venue and eject patrons at any time.8. Underage drinkers, excessive drinkers, illegal drug users or patrons displaying antisocial behavior may be ejected or dealt with by event security and/or police.9. Purchasers of marquee packages are required to use the promoter appointed official suppliers. Harry The Hirer is the event’s exclusive on-site hiring company and no other hiring company will be permitted

on-site. Damm Fine Food and Fred & Ginger Catering are the preferred event caterers and and no other unauthorised caterer will be permitted on-site. New Breed Security is the event’s exclusive on-site security company and no other security company will be permitted on-site.

10. The following items cannot be brought into the event without prior written consent from the promoter – eskys, cutlery, sharp knives, glassware, alcoholic beverages, tents, tables or market/cafe umbrellas. The following items can be bought into the event for use in the public viewing area only – snack food, drinking water and soft drink in sealed plastic bottles, fold out chairs and picnic rugs. Ticket holders and their property may be inspected for prohibited items on entry or during the event. Tickets holders found with prohibited items may be refused entry, ejected or have those items confiscated. Confiscated items will be donated to charity and will not be returned, replaced or reimbursed.

11. The event site is an area of TOTAL FIRE BAN. Patron’s detected using flame including bbq’s, fires or gas bottles may be fined by the Fire Authorities and ejected from the event.12. Ticket holders grant permission to the promoter to use the holder’s image and likeness in relation to any live or recorded television or other media or reproduction in whole or part of the event.13. Dogs and other pets are not permitted in Point Nepean National Park or the polo event precinct.

Confirmation All marquee bookings are subject to availability and the terms and conditions below. A $1000 non-refundable payment is required at time of booking and full payment must be received by 30 November 2013. All bookings will only be confirmed upon receipt of final payment. No refunds of marquee or ticket purchases will be issued at any stage and tentative bookings will not be accepted. This document will be a tax invoice for GST purposes when payment is made - please retain a copy for tax purposes.
