CHILD’S HOPE ANNUAL CHILD ADVOCATE AWARDS INDIVIDUAL / ORGANIZATION PRESENTED AT THE HENRY HOTEL, DEARBORN NOVEMBER 13, 2014 About the Awards The Child Advocate & Child Advocate Organization awards are presented annually to an individual and an organization in Wayne County who: Exemplifies dedication to the safety and well-being of children in general, especially in our community; Has made, by action and/or accomplishments, significant contributions to the prevention of child abuse and neglect; Demonstrates community involvement for the betterment of the lives of children and families; Takes action to help break the cycle of child abuse and neglect, either by volunteering, mentoring, working on public policy, fundraising or providing direct service. Awards are presented at the Child’s Hope Annual Meeting on Thursday, November 13, 2014. Nomination Deadline October 24, 2014 Eligibility Any individuals who volunteer or those who work with children as a profession are eligible for the Individual Award. Any organization that works with or for children is eligible for the Organization Award. These individuals and organizations believe in the right of children to have the opportunity to succeed and accomplish tremendous feats to make that happen. Their work might be done from a kitchen table, or from a teacher’s desk. It might start in a police precinct or through the administration of a large or small child serving social work agency. They might work through the media to bring attention to the desperate needs of some of our communities children, or they might be a corporation or small business that volunteers critical community service and donations. Nomination Process: 1. A nomination form must be submitted by 5:00 P.M. on October 24, 2014. 2. Supporting narrative explaining why you believe this person and/or organization deserves to be a Child’s Hope Advocate of the Year. 3. Optional: You may also include a resume of the nominee and letters of support. Award nominations are reviewed and a determination is made by the Child’s Hope Board of Directors’ Executive Committee, the Executive Director, a Great Start Collaborative-Wayne and a UM-Dearborn Representative. About the Awards

The Child Advocate & Child Advocate Organization awards are presented annually to an individual and

an organization in Wayne County who:
