Learn to find funders with the Foundation Center’s comprehensive funding research tool. The Foundation Search Directory is an online database designed to identify grant resources. Instruction will include a review of the grants database, advanced search feature and research approaches.

Whether you have some experience with grant writing or none, this workshop will familiarize you with the basics of what funders expect to see in a grant proposal, how to write a compelling case for funding your project and how to put all the pieces together in a winning format. This workshop will equip you with the basics of successful grantwriting and provide helpful planning and reference materials to get you started.

Participants will review trends in federal funding and tools and tips regarding how to respond to proposal guidelines. Easy planning tools will help participants support a team approach to grantseeking. The workshop will explore grant proposal preparation, along with examples of budgets and budget narratives. Participantswill review examples of successfully funded grant abstracts, narratives, budget narratives, and a list of attachments that supported the successful project funding.
