I want to personally thank all of you who have invested in the ARTrust™ during the past year. Without your support, it would not be possible to sustain our mission of supporting research to advance optimal care.

The ARTrust Steering Committee is proud to announce that 13 awards were supported in 2014, including one Gail G. Shapiro Clinical Faculty Award, three co-funded awards with the American Partnership for Eosinophilic Disorders (APFED), Food Allergy Research & Education, Inc. (FARE) and The Mastocytosis Society (TMS), six “Mini” grants and three ongoing Faculty Development Awards. The ARTrust has provided over $5.6 million and 94 grants since 1993 to support research and education in our specialty.

I thank all of you, our friends in industry, the ARTrust Steering Committee and our staff for making $5.6 million in grants possible. The ARTrust corpus is now $12,357,504. We should be very proud of these accomplishments, but there is a need for a greater resource to continue our mission. The ARTrust is committed to building a corpus of sufficient size to increase support of research and education in allergy and immunology in perpetuity. MissionThe mission of the Allergy, Asthma & Immunology Education and Research Organization, Inc. (ARTrustTM) is to find treatments and cures for the millions of people suffering from allergies, asthma and other immunologic diseases by supporting education and research.

2014 ARTrust New Award Recipients

2014 ARTrust Mini Grant Recipients

Supporting the A/I SpecialtyIn 2014, the ARTrust continued its mission of increasing funding and support for allergy/immunology education, research and training through awarding six new “Mini” grants. “Minis” are small seed grants provided to fund projects that advance the knowledge and/or treatment of allergy, asthma and immunology for small clinical or research projects, new educational initiatives for professional and public audiences, other research including equipment needs, supplemental funding and FIT projects. The creation of the “Minis” allows the ARTrust to expand its reach even further.
