Customer Lifetime Value

value of a customer. This session gives a deep understanding on how
customer lifetime value can be applied in practice and why it can
become the cornerstone for making marketing decisions. It begins
with taking valuable information to project the lifetime value of
the customer. Next, we use customer value to guide marketing and
product decisions in customer acquisition, customer development,
and customer retention using specific examples. Participants will
work in teams on a case and end with a discussion about the key
take-aways from the case.

diferenciada.

the most important functions of marketing. Each time a consumer
comes into contact with an aspect of your product or service,
there is tremendous potential to create (or weaken) brand image.
In this session, you will learn to guide your company to “live the
brand” by taking the experience of each and every customer into
account. You will be shown how to use a powerful tool that will
help you document the consumer experience and diagnose areas
of strengths and weaknesses, so that the total brand experience is
strong and differentiated.

The digital age is an age of peril as well as an age of promise for
marketers. On the one hand, digital technologies are eroding
the power of traditional “command and control” marketing
approaches that rely on mass media. On the other hand, marketers
have a dizzying array of new ways to “connect and collaborate”
with customers through digital, social and interactive media. In
this module, we will discuss the implications of the digital age for
markets and marketing. We will understand four key principles of
marketing in a connected world – the principle of collaboration
with customers, the principle of context in driving relevance of
marketing communications, the principle of conversation with
customers and the principle of convergence of old and new media
in marketing communications.
La Nueva Función del CMO en la Economía Digital Mundial
Comunicaciones Integradas de Marketing
Integration has become an essential concept in marketing as
technological advances have changed how business stakeholders
interact. Professor Sawhney will help participants weave the
diverse aspects of marketing across their businesses, to ensure
that communication strategies are consistent, unified and
customer-centric to deliver better results and increase value.

Consumers respond to price changes. However, they also are very responsive to contextual cues that frame how prices are perceived. Decades of research show that price perceptions are equally, if not more important, than the price itself. In this session, participants will learn about the effectiveness of these cues and how managers can harness the power of price perceptions.

Best-in-class firms have integrated “test and learn” capabilities into their corporate DNA. In a world of big data, we will illustrate why these capabilities have become more valuable. To facilitate these insights, he will utilize an in-class exercise that illustrates these concepts in the context of retail category management. Professor Anderson will conclude with how firms that lack these capabilities have begun to add them to their skill set.

Integrating Sales and Marketing - Distribution Channel Management
Richard Kolsky is the director of several executive education programs at Kellogg, and consultant with more than 28 years of experience. His clients have learned through practice, converting many of today’s trends into real business opportunities, in diverse markets such as baby food, life insurance and everything in between. He has consulted for Aetna, Allstate, American Express, BAE Systems, BP, Bristol Myers, Caterpillar, Cemex, CIGNA, Ernst & Young, Genentech, Griffin Communications, IBM, ICICI, ING, International Paper, Kraft, Lincoln Financial, MasterCard, Motorola, National Australia Bank, Time Warner, Selective Insurance and Smuckers, among others.
Richard KolskyPh.D., Yale University
Distribution channel “partners” play a critical role in delivering efficient and valuable customer experiences, and often control the communication of a company’s brand or value proposition. Nevertheless, few companies have a disciplined, customer-centric process for designing and structuring their channels, in large part because Sales and Marketing functions fail to collaborate in aligning their understanding and approaches to distributors (often a Sales responsibility) and end-users (Marketing).
Most executives assume that Sales and Marketing are in alignment, because they both are responsible for the top line. However, all too often, it seems like Sales is from Mars and Marketing is from Venus, with conflicting views.
Professor Kolsky will explore the roots of this misalignment, best practices for customer-focused collaboration, and organizational approaches to more effective and efficient integration of these two critical functions for both B2B and B2C enterprises.

Integrating Marketing Disciplines with Strategy

that customers are considered in all aspects of decision-making.

“During the course we had the opportunity to listen to
the most qualified people in the field of Marketing. They
presented their knowledge and the most modern and
effective techniques, and we analyzed the experiences of our
colleagues in different areas. All that we learned in those five
days, without a doubt, not only enriched us professionally,
but as people. Our challenge now is to apply and pass, even
a small part of what is learned, to our organizations.”

tiempo completo.”
“It was an intense week, both for what we learned from
our brilliant professors, and the valuable experience of each
participant, but also, to have the opportunity to return to,
even for a while, the rich freedom as a full-time student. “
