Domestic Product of the previous year (2 % in 2016)

2.Technical modernisation of the Polish Armed Forces is

estimated to cost:

- 2,5 bln USD in 2013 (up to 6,8 bln USD in 2022),

- 45 bln USD between 2013 – 2022.

1. Air defence: gradual replacement of the ex-Soviet Air Defence missile systems with new ones capable to hit target at various distances

2. Helicopters: modernisation of the current fleet of helicopters,

procurement of new helicopters for transportation, armed forces

support, SAR and ASW inclusive logistic and training support and

purchase for VIP – PZL W-3 WA Sokół helicopters

3. C4ISR: more than 150 different projects, implementation of this programme will allow to enhance Poland’s capabilities related to communication, surveillance, identification of threats, effective management of forces and fire assets

4. Combat threats at sea: procurement of three new

submarines, three minehunters, one patrol ship, one

littoral combat ship, and modernisation of existing vessels

and achievement of the Coastal Defence Missile Batallion

5. Imagery and satellite reconnaissance: target acquisition unmanned

reconnaissance and combat reconnaissance systems. Acquisition plan

includes MALE (Medium Altitiude Long Endurance) and vertical take-off

systems of short and medium range

6. Soldier of the future TYTAN: design modern individual equipment and

armament, which will increase soldiers efficiency on the contemporary

battlefield, encompasses new battle clothing, protection systems,

armament, surveillance equipment and communication systems

7. Missile and artillery modernisation: introducing

squadrons equipped with fire modules: rocket launchers WR-40 LANGUSTA,

155 mm howitzers KRAB and KRYL and multi-rocket launchers HOMAR

8. Simulators: enhance the effectiveness of combat training, all services will be

equipped with simulators and technical trained personnel for the training in

testing, maintenance and armament repairs. The simulators programme

can be used for the training of an individual soldiers, small units, pilots,

crews of armoured vehicles, etc.

9. Transport aircraft: purchase aircrafts: C-295 CASA and M-28 BRYZA Glass

Cockpit.

10. WAV ROSOMAK: except for the procurement of fighting vehicles AWV

ROSOMAK, the program also stipulates the acquisition of command,

reconnaissance, logistic and medical support as well as combat service

support vehicles, based on the ROSOMAK chassis

12. AJT (Advanced Jet Trainer): acquisition of

new aircraft for pilot training

13. Patrol reconnaissance: introduction of light armored

troops reconnaissance transporter and unmanned

reconnaissance vehicle equipped with systems to

14. Armoured Forces modernisation: modernisation of

LEOPARD 2A4 tank and acquisition more than 2 000 units

of various vehicles: tank base, infantry fighting vehicle,

crawler transporters: reconnaissance, reconnaissance

engineering and support engineering vehicles: command,

medical evacuation and technical security
