MAUNDY THURSDAYSERVICE Thursday, March 28, 2013, 7:00 p.m.

Maundy is derived from the Latin “mandatum,” or commandment, which is found as the first word in Latin of John 13:34: “A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another.” This is a

Good Friday Friday, March 29, 2013, 7:00 p.m.

of the approaching death of Christ. This contempla-tive service will feature the reading of the story of the passion of Christ, reflections on the cross from Brent Beasley, choral singing from the Choirs at Broadway, and music from Mark Houghton, Principal French horn of the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra.

the Worship seriesThrough the Worship series, the congregation of Broadway comes together

for special times of worship and varying worship traditions

The Cliburn Organ was handcrafted by Casavant Frères Limités, St. Hyacinthe, Quebec, Canada. The organ is the largest organ of French aesthetics in the world, reflecting the basic concept of the 18th and 19th century French organ builders. Exceptional in size and design, the Cliburn Organ has 10,615 pipes, 191 ranks, 129 independent stops, and 11 divisions. Two unique fea-tures of the organ are the horizontal trumpets in the front and back of the sanctuary and the addition of a Bombarde division specially designed to play with orchestral forces. The Cliburn Organ’s pipes, two consoles, and oak cases were crafted to fit the grand proportions of the sanctuary’s modified Gothic architecture.

A light lunch will be served in the fellowship hall Monday through Wednesday, from 11:30 a.m.–12:10 p.m. and 12:45–1:15 p.m.

Concerts are held at the Magnolia Green Park at the 1100 block of Lipscomb, between Rosedale and Magnolia Streets in the Fort Worth South district.

Park opens at 6:00 p.m.
