Session 1: June 18 - June 22 (M- F) 9:00 am - 4:00 pmWe’ve been waiting all year and finally the sun is shining and the possibilities are endless. This week of summer camp at Chehalem Cultural Center focuses on the power and beauty of nature. Students in select tracks will have the opportunity to harness the sun through photography and glass art. The vibrant cultures of Latin America will also be explored through music, dance and performance. Choose your track and join in the fun!

Session 2: June 25 - June 29 (M-F) 9:00 am - 4:00 pmWhere can your imagination take you? Let your creativity run wild at the fantasy world of Chehalem Cultural Center’s Summer Arts Camps. This week invites students to explore diverse art forms ranging from illustration to acting, from dance to paper sculptures. Each track offers an avenue for students to embrace the impossible and dive into the wonderland of creative expression.

Session 3: July 16 - 20 (M- F) 9:00 am - 4:00 pmGear up for an international adventure in the arts! Tell a story with Japanese masks or meet the European master painters in this week of Chehalem Cultural Center Summer Arts Camp. Trek the globe as we explore the

fascinating worldwide origins of various art forms. Choose from a variety of tracks to guide you in our fun international exploration.

Session 4: August 6 - August 10 (M- F) 9:00 am - 4:00 Whether it is a game of strategy or a creative dance – it’s your move! Strategy and creativity meet in the final week of Chehalem Cultural Center’s 2012 Summer Arts Camps. This week offers students in select tracks the opportunity to create their own game, stage an original play, or create glass mobiles. So it’s your turn, make your move, and go for the goal as we look at art from many playful perspectives.

2012 Summer Camp TermsNO REGISTRATION IS ALLOWED AT DROP-OFF & PICK-UP TIMES. YOUR CHILD MUST BE PRE-REGISTERED TO ATTEND.

DO NOT DROP OFF ANY CHILD WITHOUT PRE-REGISTERING.

Class Cancellation: If minimum enrollment is not met one week prior to the first class date, we will contact you to re-arrange your camper(s) track according to your preferences stated on your registration form. In the event the Camp Session doesn’t go, a full refund will be issued in the form of your original payment. Please allow up to three weeks processing time for refunds. Refunds will only be issued in the form which payment was originally received. Cash transactions will be refunded by check. Please verify your mailing address and/or credit card number with the office at the time the course is dropped. Refunds may be delayed without this verification.

Withdrawals & Refunds: Withdrawal of a class must occur one week (Tuesday – Saturday) before the first day of camp to receive a full refund.

Check - In / Check-Out in Chehalem Cultural Center LobbyThe Center will accept Summer Campers at 8:45 each morning. There is no early drop off. We will have doors locked until all staff is present and prepared for your children at 8:45 am.

Monday morning of camp: Each Monday morning of the sessions (between 8:45 am - 9:00 am), a parent or an autho-rized guardian will check-in their child at the GREETING TABLE which will be located in the Chehalem Cultural Center Lobby. A parent or legal guardian must accompany all campers 10 and under inside to sign-in on the first day of camp (Monday). All campers must check-in with their Track Leader each morning of the camp in the lobby of the Center.

Pick-up:Campers that are 10 & under will not be permitted to walk outside to your vehicle so be prepared to park and come in-side. Campers that are older than ten years old are welcome to walk outside and meet you or walk home after check-ing out with a staff member. Please pick up your camper(s) promptly at 4:00 pm each day.

**IMPORTANT: The Center will only release students to those parents or guardian listed as Authorized Guardians on the Contact Infor-mation Form in this packet. If a child is to be picked up by a person other than a parent/guardian, a written note must be presented to the office.

Lunch: Campers are required to bring their own lunch if they are staying for a full day. Lunch bags must have the camp-er’s first and last name clearly printed. We suggest campers bring a water bottle with their name clearly marked. One snack every three hours is also recommended. Attire Campers are required to wear comfortable clothing that can handle stains. No open-toed shoes and hair should be away from the face and secured. Photo Release: In registering for this program, you give Chehalem Cultural Center permission to use you child’s photo-graph for publicity purposes.Scholarships: Limited Partial Scholarships are available for those who need financial assistance. Please ask the Center’s office for more information.

CAMP RULES: Campers are required to wear their name tags at all times. Gentle/respectful touching & talking. In the event a student is having difficulty with camp rules: Collaborative problem solving disccussion with student by helper/director. Talk with parent/guardian and camp director for more long term problem solving.
