Welcome to our major production sale. Posthaven is offering a major cross-section of our herd. We have been building our herd since 1988, while at the same time offering select cattle to customers. Quality breeding bulls and breeding females are sold through our bi-annual sales. Our customer base continues to grow as we broaden our horizons. To complement our breeding enterprise, we have begun a meat order business - specializing in natural limo beef free of hormones. We have also had success in marketing our genetics to Europe, Australia and the USA. Embryos and semen have been sold world wide. As a result of the sale of Urban Cowboy to Semex in our 2009 sale, our genetics have been distributed world-wide. We have continued our efforts on cow families, while at the same time working with new blood lines from Europe and the USA. At the present, there are some interesting bloodlines being introduced to our herd from France and Denmark. At this time we need to decrease our herd size, due to our small acreage and the fact that we have had a great heifer crop. In order to introduce new genetics into the herd, some of our older and proven cows are being offered

time, we have consigned our complete group of bred heifers- none have been held back. We will help our customers ship their purchases. Any cattle that await transport can be housed at the farm at no charge for a reasonable time, while awaiting transportation. AFA 28Y is hard to part with because we have a half sib already in production doing a good job on her 1st calf, but when John and George wanted the best, they got the best, she is from the top of the bred heifer pen. Sired by Rural Justice and out of a Klint dam this female has maternal ability and growth bred into her. Her sire was the high selling PIC bull in 2010 and her dam was the high selling female in 2010 at Bennville’s mini-production sale.
