Preamble

This XCAL-LTE Operation Handbook intends to be read by the user who need to use ZTE LTE UE who aretrying to install, configure and perform any measurements using XCAL-LTE. All the contents are described

sequentially and can be followed one by one.

The contents are separated into three categories with different objectives as explained below

Chapter 1: How to install the upgrade patch XCAL-LTEThis chapter explains how to install the upgrade patch released by Accuver. This chapter can be skipped ifyou are already using the required version of XCAL-LTE

Chapter 2: How to Recall the pre-configured auto call, Display, Device configurationsThis chapter explains how to recall and apply the configurations which have been proved to be the mostsuitable configuration for the project. The configuration in this chapter includes auto call setting, displaywindows setting, device setting including Port settings. This chapter can be skipped once you apply this to

one laptop PC as all the setting shall be recorded on the XCAL-LTE if you apply once.

Chapter 3: Step by Step checklist in performing the XCAL-LTE measurementsThis chapter explains step by step procedures in performing LTE measurements using XCAL-LTE. It can beused as a check list always needs to be made sure by the Drive Test engineer.

You can download the components from the dedicated ftp server. Please contact our support team if you donot have the details. You have to have these components to follow the processes explained in thisdocument.

Chapter 1: How to Install the Upgrade Patch XCAL-LTE

This chapter explains how to install the upgrade patch released by Accuver. This chapter can be skippedif you are already using the required version of XCAL-LTE

1. Install XCAL-LTE using the installation versionJust follow the instructions during the installation of XCAL-LTE x.x.xx.xxx

2. Apply XCAL-LTE upgrade Patch (if you are guided to do so) Download XCAL-LTE x.x.xx.xxx [Patch] from the FTP server indicated. Unzip the file Copy and Overwrite all files and folders to C:/ProgramFiles/Accuver/XCAL-LTE Confirm the upgrade by from [XCAL-LTE > Help > About]

Chapter 2: How to Recall the Pre-Configured Auto Call, Display,Device configurations

This chapter explains how to recall and apply the configurations which have been proved to be themost suit able configuration for the project. The configuration in this chapter includes auto call setting,display windows setting, device setting including Port settings. This chapter can be skipped once youapply this to one laptop PC as all the setting shall be recorded on the XCAL-LTE if you apply once.

1. Setting > Load All SettingsThis is to recall all the settings saved previously.

2. Choose pre Config.set which you may have got from either your colleague or Accuversupport team.

3. The features of this Pre Config .set configuration shall apply the preconfigured settingsautomatically. You can later amend and change each of them and save alternative settingsthrough [XCAL-LTE > Setting > Save all settings].

Port Setting - the screenshot below is an example of a Port Setting recalled.

Sub Windows configuration Throughput, Cell Measurements, RRC messages, etc

Alarm Setting Setup Fail, Traffic Fail, Call Drop, Pending, Mobile Error

Auto Call Setting also will be recalled as configured before.

4. Auto Call > Import ScenarioYou may not have to perform this if you have applied Load All Settings explained in the previouspages but you can use this import scenario/export scenario feature just to share your scenarios

with other teams.

Chapter 3: Step by Step Checklist in Performing the XCAL-LTEMeasurements Using ZTE

This chapter explains step by step procedures in performing LTE measurements using XCAL-LTE. It canbe used as a check list always needs to be made sure by the Drive Test engineer.

6. Monitor the status during the measurement LTE Data Rate Status [XCAL-LTE > Statistics/Status > Throughput Info], you can monitor the

download & upload throughput information through this window

Call Process [XCAL-LTE > Statistics/Status > Call Statistics], you can monitor the Call proceduredetails through this window. You will be able to monitor the current calls status and also monitorthe history of the calls during the past calls.

7. Log files are saved in C:/ProgramFiles/Accuver/XCAL-LTE/LogData/yearmonth/date
