Greetings from the Alternative Humane Society:

For those of you who dont know us, the Alternative HumaneSociety (AHS) is an all-volunteer, non-profit 501(c)3 animal welfare organizationregistered with the State of Washington. We provide spay/neuter vouchers for cats anddogs, operate a canine foster and adoption program, and provide educational assistanceto animal guardians throughout Whatcom County. In 2010 we re-homed approximately330 dogs and puppies, helped pay for more than 375 spay and neuter surgeries, andreturned over 1400 phone calls.

On Sunday, July 31, 2011, we will hold the 3rd annual Paws & Claws Expo at BloedelDonovan Park from 10am-4pm. This event is free to the public and will feature animalcare demonstrations, booths featuring local dog and cat related organizations and

businesses, raffles, games/contests, food vendors, and childrens activities. This yearwe are adding a new feature: a No More Fleas Flea Market.

There are many ways that you can help.

o Sponsor our event.o $500. We will put your name and logo on our print advertising, our website,

on signs at our event, and on all printed publicity. You will also beacknowledged on radio spots and provided free booth space at the event.

o $250. We will put your name and logo on our website, and on signs at ourevent.

o

$100. We will put your name and logo on our website.o Donate items or gift certificates for inclusion in the raffle/prize baskets.o Participate as a vendor or demonstrator.

All vendors, demonstrators, donors, and sponsors are encouraged to provide a flyer,business card, coupon, or other printed material for a packet that will be handed out atthe AHS Booth.

AHS is an all volunteer organization. We have no office, no shelter, and receive nogovernment funds. That means 100% of your donations go towards our programs.Thank you for all that you already do in support of animals, and we hope you will

Its that time of year again ~ we are gearing up for our Annual Paws and Claws Expo,

which is scheduled for July 31st at Bloedel Donovan Park!

This years event will have a new feature, a No More Fleas Market, which we wil

hold in the large Expo Building. Last years event was a resounding success, the money

we raised at the event continues to fund our Spay and Neuter Programs, Dog Adoption

Programs, Education Programs, Community Cats Program and Public Awareness of who

we are and what we do.

We are hoping that you will join us at this years event, we are expecting a bigger

turnout, with more participants, more activities, and even more success. Vendor fees

for the 2011 Paws & Claws Expo will be $50.00 for commercial businesses and $20.00

for non-profit organizations. The No More Fleas Market (new this year) will have a $25

fee per space, which includes a 6 table and 2 chairs provided by AHS. The No More

Fleas Market will be held in the large indoor Expo Building. We plan to have a similar

configuration as last years (with the addition of the No More Fleas Market) as we got a

resounding response from attendees on how easy it was easy to navigate among the

vendors and watch the games and guests speakers. Vendors will be required to remain

set-up and open for the duration of the event, which runs from 10-4 this year. Abooth competition/giveaway is scheduled to occur at the end of the event (at 4:00).

We appreciate your support and hope that you will plan to join us. Vendor space is

limited, and we want to be sure to include those organizations that have supported us in
