INTRODUCTION:CanadaDrugPharmacy.com provides prescription medications at the best possible prices world-wide. Through our associated group of licensed Canadian and international pharmacies, we work hard to deliver medications at the lowest prices possible. So just how much cheaper are the prices at Canada Drug Pharmacy compared to those found at traditional pharmacies? That is the question we set out to answer in our first annual Price Survey. We wanted to find out just how much money customers can save through our Canadian mail order pharmacy service when compared to a traditional pharmacy.

We took twenty popular brand name prescription medications and compared the prices at CanadaDrugPharmacy.com against three traditional pharmacies. One was a membership warehouse club, another was a discount pharmacy and the third was a popular online drugstore. We also compared the price of the same brand name medications from the traditional pharmacies to the prices of generic equivalent drugs to see just how much more money could be saved by if generic medications were purchased instead of brand name medications.

To ensure that a direct comparison was made, we compared the exact same strength and an approximate 90 day supply of the medications from all four pharmacy providers. Here are the results:

When calculated for an approximate 90 day supply, the savings translates into hundreds and possibly thousands of dollars saved onprescription medications per year.

CONCLUSIONPrescription medication users can save a significant amount of money by switching from a traditional pharmacy to CanadaDrugPharmacy.com. The prices at CanadaDrugPharmacy.com were significantly lower for the twenty brand name prescription drugs surveyed. The prices were dramatically lower when generic alternatives were substituted for brand name medications. Savings averaged 63% for brand name medications and 83% for generic substitutions. Those concerned with the high price of prescription medications can save hundreds and possibly thousands of dollars each year safely without sacrificing the quality of their medications by ordering prescription drugs from CanadaDrugPharmacy.com***.

2 - GENERIC COMPARISON Generic drugs are an alternative for customers who want to save even more money or who are unable to afford the higher priced brand name alternative. We wanted to see how much money it was possible to save our customers, without sacrificing treatment options. So we took the same twenty medications surveyed in our brand comparison and compared the price of the generic equivalent from CanadaDrugPharmacy.com to the brand name version of the drug from the traditional pharmacy competitors. There were three instances where generic alternatives were not available, so a price comparison for those medications was not possible.

When comparing generic alternatives to the brand pricing at traditional pharmacies, we discovered that customers could save, on average, 83% on their prescription drug costs. The table below compares the brand name version of a medication from the traditional pharmacy competitors to the generic equivalent price from CanadaDrugPharmacy.com.
