• Analysis of the first location concept of the offshore wind farm connection at sea (SwePol II construction with offshore wind farm connection).

• Analysis and developing of HV DC offshore wind farmsconnection concept to the National Grid with omitting the Transmission Grid at the north part of Poland.


The first offshore wind farm connection concept

The initial analysis indicates that in case of the possible construction of the second (parallel to the existing) SwePoll II link to Sweden, it would be feasible to install on it the first offshore wind farm connection. In such configuration the power from theoffshore farm could be directed to the Polish National Grid and / or to the export.

According to PSM the construction



According to PSM the construction of SwePol II and the first offshore connec-tion would be much easier due to the loca-tion of the new line as parallel to the exis-ting SwePol I.

The location concept of the first offshoreconnection on the existing SwePol I line,which is possible, is not considered.
