Our CampusHampden-Sydney is one of the South’s outstand-ing liberal arts colleges. Nestled in the gently roll-ing countryside of south-central Vir-ginia, H-SC is the oldest of the coun-try’s few remaining men’s colleges.

The social life of the College is centered around 11 national fraternities and a strong organization of inde-pendents. Concerts, mixers, movies, and a variety of unusual programs are planned and carried out through a student-run college activities committee.

Joe Bush has been an integral part of the Hampden-Sydney athletic department since he began as head football coach in 1986, adding the further responsibility of athletic director in 1992. In 1996 he stepped

down from his coaching post to dedicate his full-time efforts to his duties as athletic director. In eleven seasons as the Hampden-Sydney football coach, Bush recorded a winning percentage of nearly .600. He twice earned ODAC Coach of the Year honors, including 1987 when the Tigers won the ODAC Championship. In addition to the on-field accomplishments by his teams, Bush coached four players who earned Academic All-American recognition. He also served as H-SC’s tennis coach from 1989 to 1992 and in 1991 was named the ODAC Tennis Coach of the Year. Bush served a two-year term as President of the ODAC from 2000 through 2002. In addition, he has served as Hamp-den-Sydney’s golf coach over the past eight years. In 1998 he served as the Chair of the NCAA Division III Football Committee. He was responsible for all aspects of the NCAA Division III National Football Championship. Before his arrival on the Hampden-Sydney campus, Bush served as head football coach at Bridgewater for a year and an assistant at Virginia Military Institute for 15 seasons. A three-year starter for VMI in both football and baseball, Bush is a member of VMI’s Sports Hall of Fame. As a senior, Bush was co-captain of the football team, Second Team All-Southern Conference and voted the “Outstanding Lineman in Virginia” by the Roanoke Sports Club. Bush received his undergraduate degree in civil engineer-ing from Virginia Military Institute. He served three years in the United States Army, attaining the rank of captain. His military assignments included serving as battery commander of a guided missile unit in Korea and service in Germany. Bush is a member of the American Football Coaches As-sociation and the College Presbyterian Church. He and his wife, Katherine, are the parents of two children, Katrina and Joseph, and have two grandsons, Charlie and Sam and two granddaughters, Lauren and Caroline.

Dr. Christopher B. Howard, the 24th President of Hampden-Sydney Col-lege, is one of the youngest college presidents in the United States.

Hampden-Sydney, a liberal arts college for men, has been in continuous operation since classes began in 1775 on its historic campus 60 miles southwest of Richmond, VA. Dr. Howard is a distinguished graduate of the US Air Force Academy where he earned a BS in political science and received the Campbell Award (previously known as the Draddy Award), the highest academic award in the country presented to a se-nior football player. A Rhodes Scholar, he earned his Doctorate in politics at Oxford University and a MBA with distinction from the Harvard Business School. Prior to his appointment as President of Hampden-Sydney College in 2009, Dr. Howard served as Vice President for Leader-ship & Strategic Initiatives at the University of Oklahoma where he also served as the Director of the Honors College Leadership Center and a President’s Associates Presidential Professor. Dr. Howard was named a 2010 African-American Trail-blazer in Virginia History by the Library of Virginia. He was featured in an Associated Press story published by The New York Times, The Boston Globe, the Washington Times, the Miami Herald, and the Philadelphia Inquirer, among numer-ous others. Dr. Howard was the subject of separate articles in the Richmond Times-Dispatch, The Dallas Morning News, and Diverse Issues in Higher Education. He was featured on NPR’s All Things Considered and interviewed on CNN, PBS, and PRI. He is married to the former Miss Barbara Noble from Jo-hannesburg, South Africa, and has two sons: Cohen and Joshua.







Kirk Athletic CenterThe Kirk Athletic Center comprises the completely renovated Gammon Gymnasium and two new wings. It is the home of all field sports - soccer, la-crosse, football, baseball - as well as cross country, tennis, and golf. The Kirk Center was completed and dedicated in the fall of 2008, and the new addi-tions have provided Hampden-Sydney athletics with some great improve-ments. Among the additions are four brand new locker rooms for the Tigers, a new training room, a renovated basketball court, new offices for coaches and administrators, hall of fame gallery, and classrooms. Now for the first

time, each sport has its own locker room, each with direct access to the exterior.

Kirk also houses the athletic training staff, the Gamman Weight Room, the soccer locker room, and the new Hall of Fame. The three person training staff Hampden-Sydney now has a room roughly three times the size of the former training room. The new room comes with many new fea-tures including six training tables; four whirlpools, two of which are full body size; two offices; and a flat screen HD television. This new training room accompanies their auxiliary room in Kirby Fieldhouse.

The Gammon Weight Room is located on the first floor of the Kirk Athletic Center. It is fully stocked with both free weights and weight machines. Some of the weight machines include two Hammer Strength Jammers, two glute/ham machines, a Hammer Strength leg press, a five pulley cable system, a leg extension/leg curl, a chest press, a military press, a bicep curl, a treadmill, and an upright bike. The free weight equipment include lifting platforms, five deluxe multi racks, five flat-to-military benches,

three decline-to-military benches, three dip stations, four stabilization discs, three sets of stretch bands, seven plyometric boxes, and 21 medicine balls.

For the first time Hampden-Sydney soccer now has its own locker room. The new room is equip with 41 lockers, new showers, and a state-of-the-art flat screen HD television. Included in the cable subscription is the Fox Soccer Channel. The locker room is located right next to the training room and has direct exterior access.

The new Hall of Fame features new plaques of the 111 inductees along with an interactive touch screen that allows viewers to bring up any inductee on a high definition flat screen by induction type, year, name, or graduation year. The room also features another flat screen television that plays highlight videos from all of the current teams.







In 2007, Hampden-Sydney saw the completion of the Hellmuth-Pritzlaff turf field. The new turf field is the inclem-ent weather home to both the Tiger soccer and lacrosse teams. The auxiliary field gives the Tigers plenty of room to spread out and use both turf and natural grass.

Miller Field, the home of the Tigers, just got a recent upgrade with new Pro Premier World Competition Goals. The Pro Premier goals are the official goal of the English Premier league and the World Cup. Since 2005, Hampden-Syd-ney has boasted a remarkable 32-7-4 record on Miller Field.

Kirby Fieldhouse is home to Hampden-Sydney’s state of the art fitness center and Tiger basketball. The fitness center has been designed to promote a healthy lifestyle in a relaxing atmosphere. For your cardiovascular workout, the Center includes a Cardio-Theatre system with seven 32” televisions that offer viewing to seven treadmills, six elliptical trainers, five bicycles, two stairclimbers, and one Concept II rower.

The Fitness Center also caters to the weight lifter with a complete line of free weight equipment, Hammer Strength systems, and LifeFitness selectorized equipment (formerly called nautilus). There is also a place to work the important core muscles (abs, lower back, etc.).

The Aerobics Room (located on the second floor) is stocked with the latest group exercise and personal use fitness equipment. There are three refurbished racquetball courts. Leggett Pool remains available and provides excellent exercise opportunities. The Center is also connected right to the basketball courts.

The Fieldhouse contains the main game court as well as two auxiliary courts. All three are open to the entire campus.

Through the generous gift from Lewis C. Everett of Kilmarnock, Virginia, Hampden-Sydney College has completed the construction of the $5 million Lewis C. Everett Stadium. Construction on the 1850 seat facility began in November 2006 and was completed in August 2007. The Everett Stadium replaces the 40-year-old Hundley Stadium adjacent to Fulton Field.

The Lewis C. Everett Stadium, designed by Marcellus Wright Cox Architects, P.C., of Richmond, will blend with the Federal architecture of the Hampden-Sydney College campus. It will provide much needed space for press, scorekeepers, and radio announcers and will include restrooms in the concourse area and a filming platform in the cupola. Head Coach Josh Laux

Josh Laux returns in 2010 to the Tiger soccer program for his seventh season. He is just the eighth head coach since

soccer became an intercollegiate sport at Hampden-Syd-ney College in 1969. The 2007 ODAC Coach of the Year, Laux has steadily built up the Tiger Soccer program since his arrival in 2004, and is currently the third-winningest soccer coach in program history, just one game behind second place.

Laux returns to the helm after leading his team to its most wins in school in history in 2009. The Tigers posted a 16-4 overall record, including a 7-2 ODAC mark. The 2009 Tigers set school records for most wins, most ODAC wins, fewest goals allowed, and shutouts. Hampden-Sydney advanced to the conference semifinals for the third consecutive season, and finished the season ranked No. 7 in the NSCAA/Adidas South Region Poll.

The unlikeliest of coaches, Laux came to Hampden-Sydney College after four years playing and three years coaching at arch-rival Randolph-Macon College. Laux

comes to Hampden-Sydney after serving as the assis-tant coach and most recently interim head coach in the spring of 2004 at Macon. In 2002, Laux’s squad consisting of seven freshmen proved to be one of the Top 10 teams in the South Region and made a run to the ODAC finals. Again in 2003, R-MC was ranked in the Top 10 of the South Region and reached the ODAC semifinals. As in-terim head coach, Laux’s Yellow Jackets went undefeat-ed in five games, which included elite opponents such as ninth-ranked, Division I powerhouse Virginia Common-welth University, and the defending ODAC champions, Virginia Wesleyan College. During his tenure as a Macon assistant, Laux also completed his master’s degree in environmental studies at Virginia Commonwealth.

Laux is no stranger to the level of play at Hampden-Syd-ney. His playing and coaching knowledge coupled with his experience within the ODAC are tremendous assets to the Hampden-Sydney soccer program.

A standout player on the R-MC soccer team from 1997 to 2000, Laux is tied for 12th on both Randolph-Macon’s career goals and total points list, and is tied for fourth in career assists. During his playing career at Randolph-Ma-con, Laux was named All-Old Dominion Athletic Confer-ence, all-state by the Virginia Sports Information Direc-tors, and All-South Region, and was tabbed ODAC Rookie of the Year in 1997. As a senior, he received the George P. Compton Award, which is presented to the school’s most outstanding male athlete. Even during his time at Macon,

Laux still possessed admiration for the Tiger program. “As a student-athlete at Randolph-Macon and then as a coach, I always had great respect for Hampden-Sydney College’s academics and athletics,” said Laux.

Laux holds a State Goalkeeper Diploma, a NSCAA high school special topics diploma, and a National Soccer Association of America (NSCAA) national diploma, both of which he received with a distinguished pass. He has coached for the Richmond Strikers U-17 Premier team and the Richmond Strikers U-17 and U-18 Super Y teams.

Academically at R-MC, Laux majored in Spanish and international studies with minors in history and religion. He was a member of Omicron Delta Kappa and Phi Beta Kappa. Laux graduated high school in 1996 from the Haverford School near Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he played varsity soccer and led his team to an undefeated season as a senior. He was named all-county, all-area, and all-conference for several seasons, and was his team’s Most Valuable Player while setting the school record for assists during his senior campaign. On the club level, Laux played for FC Delco Soccer Club in southeastern Pennsylvania, and was a team captain from 1994 to 1997. He was also a member of the Eastern Pennsylvania state select team from 1994 to 1996.

Matt Cooper returns for his fifth season as assistant coach for the soccer program. A 2006 graduate of Randolph-Macon College, Coo-per earned his bachelor’s degree in sociology. Cooper was a four-year starter on the R-MC soccer team and brings valuable on-field expe-rience to the Tigers’ coaching staff.

Cooper’s playing career and resume is quite impressive. Cooper was a three-time All-ODAC selection, two-time regional All-American and a two-time Virginia Sports Information Directors’ All-State choice. He was twice selected to the ODAC All-Tournament team.

As assistant coach for the Soccer Tigers, Cooper has been instrumental in the success of the recruiting pro-cess, helping to acquire new talent to the roster. Last season, Cooper helped guide the Tigers to a 16-4 overall record and 7-2 ODAC mark. Both win totals were the best in school history. The 2009 Tigers also set school records for fewest goals allowed and most shutouts. Hampden-Sydney has reached the ODAC semifinals in each of the last three seasons. In his four seasons with the Tigers, H-SC has compiled a 49-22-6 record.

Matt and his wife Anne reside in Richmond, VA.

Kerry Burke will undertake his fourth season as soccer assistant coach in 2010. Burke graduated from Hampden-Sydney in 2007 with a B.A. double major in political science and history. He currently is also in his fourth year working as an Assistant Dean of Admissions at the College.

As a former Tigers’ soccer standout, Burke brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the coach-ing staff. His work ethic and team-first attitude are infectious, and are tremendous assets to Coach

Laux’s staff. Burke was a four-year starter on defense and earned All-ODAC honors in each of his final two seasons - Honorable Mention as a junior and Second Team as a senior. He served as team captain during his senior cam-paign in 2006 and helped lead Hampden-Sydney to a 10-6-2 record - at the time its best record since the 2002 season. Burke was an instrumental piece in the program’s return to excellence as in the 2005 season as a junior his Tigers were named the 12th most improved team in the country.

In his four seasons on the sidelines, Burke has helped lead the Tigers to new heights, culminating in a school record 16 wins and seven ODAC wins in the 2009 season.

John Costello joins the Hampden-Sydney soccer coaching staff as an assistant in the spring of 2010. A 2007 graduate of Bridge-water College, Costello earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Management. He played for Midlothian High School as well as for the Richmond Kickers and F.C. Richmond Magic. Costello was a four-year starter on the Bridgewater soccer team and brings many

impressive qualities to the H-SC staff.

Costello’s playing career at Bridgewater is full of impressive accolades. In addition to being a four-year starter for the Eagles, he was a two-time All-ODAC selection, was twice named

to the ODAC all-tournament team, was named named VaSID All-State, and also selected as a Regional All-American. On top of all of that, Costello led the ODAC in both points and goals in the 2005 season with 13 goals and five assists.

Costello has an NSCAA Advanced Regional Diploma and is close to completing both his state and regional Goal-keeping licenses. Head Coach Josh Laux and the rest of the Tiger soccer program are excited about Costello’s ar-rival and eager to see his impact on the program.

season. Additionally, dur-ing his senior year, Scott served as film coordinator for the ODAC Champion men’s lacrosse team and interned in the sports information office. Harris received numerous recog-nitions, including: Robert L.

Hill Distinguished Senior Award nominee, Omicron Delta Kappa national leadership honor society, Phi Eta Sigma national freshman honor society, and a Leadership Award from the Association of Commuter Students in 2005.

As a graduate student, Scott served as the Assistant Sports Information Director and undertook many initia-tives, such as adding a Facebook fan page for the athlet-ic department, compiling record books for many sports, and was the Sports Information Publications Coordina-tor for the 2009-10 school year. Harris was the primary media and marketing contact for several sports, includ-ing men’s soccer, men’s basketball, and men’s lacrosse. In his graduate work, he helped develop a strategic plan for non-profit group Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Central Virginia and also developed a mar-keting plan for the University of Waterloo’s Chartered Accountant graduate program.

Harris is a native of Lynchburg, VA, and currently resides in Farmville, VA

of experience outside of the friendly confines of the H-SC campus. Lamb helped out with the Lancers’ field hockey and softball teams during her undergraduate tenure and interned in the spring of 2010 with the De-partment of the Navy on the Camp

Lejeune base in North Carolina. At Camp Lejeune, she worked in sports medicine with the Marine Corps, Army, and Navy.

Stephanie, a native of Stafford, VA, is a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA) and cur-rently resides in Farmville, VA.

Stephanie Lamb joined the Tiger athletic department in the fall of 2010 as an Assis-tant Athletic Trainer. Lamb

is a May 2010 graduate of nearby Longwood University where she earned her Bachelor’s of Science degree in Athletic Training. She will be working primarily with the soccer and lacrosse teams.

While Stephanie is a new member to the athletic de-partment, she is a familiar face to many as she worked with the Tiger football and lacrosse teams while she was a student at Longwood. She also brings a wealth

year after spending three years as the Assistant Sports Information Director at Old Dominion Athletic Con-ference (ODAC) Rival Lynchburg College. As Assistant Sports Information Director, Harris is the primary media and marketing contact for the Tiger soccer, lacrosse, cross country, and tennis programs. He writes, edits, and designs all media publications for each of those sports that are distributed through the Hampden-Sydney Athletics Department. He also supervises, maintains, updates and provides written content for the College’s athletics website for each of his sports.

Harris graduated from Lynchburg College in 2003 with a bachelor’s degree in sport management and earned his master’s degree in Business Administration in the spring of 2010. During his time as an undergrad at Lynchburg, Harris was a manager for the men’s basketball team for three years and a student assistant coach for his senior

2009 Tigers Post Record Breaking SeasonSets a school record 16 wins and ties school ODAC record of eight wins

The soccer class of 2009 was one of the winningest senior classes in Hampden-Sydney history. These six seniors earned 49 wins in their four years with the Tigers.

consecutive games between September 19th and October 21st, knocking off arch-rival Randolph-Macon in double overtime on a sudden death goal, and thumping ODAC power Roanoke College 5-1 on senior night. With this sea-son’s 16 wins, head coach Josh Laux moved into third place on the career wins list at Hampden-Sydney with 62, just one game behind second place. His 31 ODAC wins are the second most in school history.

The team’s final record was 16-4-0, including an 8-2-0 ODAC mark. The 16 wins are the most ever in a season, surpassing the 1994 team’s 15 wins. The eight ODAC wins ties the most ever, matching the 1994 team. The team advanced to the ODAC semifinals for the third consecutive year, falling in a tough match against Lynchburg College.

The 2009 soccer seniors will leave as one of the best classes to ever play for Hamp-den-Sydney. The senior class of Cooper Anderson, Brett Chonko, JoJo Howard, Will Robertson, and Christopher Tait compiled a career record of 49-22-6, including a 25-9-4 ODAC mark. They helped turn the Hamp-den-Sydney soccer program back into a perennial contender in the ODAC and served as excellent leaders to their teammates both on and off the field.

Freshman Nick DeProspero had a stellar rookie cam-paign, finishing the season with five goals and 10 as-sists. His 10 assists were good enough for second in the ODAC. Right behind him in that category was junior Matt Hampton, who finished the year with six assists which was the third most in the ODAC. The team’s defense also had a record-setting year, setting a new program mark for shutouts in a season with 11. They allowed only 12 goals in 20 games, which was tied for

Tigers Seek Championship After Record Setting YearWith the bulk of the team returning, the Tigers will seek conference supremacy

established himself as one of the best finishers in the league and is danger-ous from anywhere on the field.

Wharton will be joined by fellow junior and Honorable Mention All-ODAC honoree Bryan Hughes (Midlothian, VA/Cosby) and the 2009 ODAC Rookie of the Year Nick DePro-spero (Midlothian, VA/Cosby). Hughes’ blazing speed and con-stant pressure makes life difficult for opposing backs, and he will hope to build upon his two year totals of nine goals and three assists.

DeProspero returns for his sophomore season after a stel-lar freshman year scoring five goals and dishing out ten assists. The Cosby product started in all 19 of his rookie appearances while establishing himself as a leader on the field. His work ethic and knowledge of the game will al-low him to continue to produce and create for others.

Also looking to be big contributors at the forward posi-tion is senior Andrew Berg (Aberdeen, Scotland/Inter-national School of Aberdeen). Berg is a tough, scrappy

Fresh off of the best season in school history with a 16-4 record and 8-2 conference mark, the 2010 Hampden-Sydney soccer team will look to continue its success and hoist the program’s first-ever Old Dominion Athletic Conference champion-ship. Though key pieces from the 2009 squad graduated, head coach Josh Laux has several key contributors returning along with a solid recruiting class that could have some immediate contributors.

The team returns this season after posting program highs in wins (16) and shutouts (11) while allowing just 0.60 goals-per-game and scoring 2.10 gpg. The Tigers reached the confer-ence semifinals for the third consecutive year, but fell to eventual champion Lynchburg College 2-1.

The offense in 2010 will be exciting to watch with the top three point scorers returning to lead the attack. Leading the way will be All-Region forward Bryan Wharton (Glen Allen, VA/Deep Run) who scored 14 goals in 2009 for the second consecutive season. Wharton has

player who has a powerful strike and the ability to create his own shots.

The midfield will see a familiar face in four-year staple Matt Hampton (Virginia Beach, VA/Kellam). The senior will again look to lead the Tiger offense in the midfield with much of the productivity starting with him. He possesses a great knowl-edge of the game, knowing where to be and where to go, and contin-ues to be one of the best creators on the team. With 11 assists to his name through three years, Hamp-ton will continue to control the midfield and advance the attack.

Joining Hampton will be sophomore Chris Whiteside (Virginia Beach, VA/Frank W. Cox) and junior Kevin Anderson (Midlothian, VA/Cosby). Whiteside saw significant time as a freshman appearing in 19 games while starting in 13. The Virginia Beach native proved to be a dependable source in the midfield while tallying three assists and adding a goal.

Anderson will look to crack the starting lineup in his ju-

nior season while giving Coach Laux another smart, crafty player in the middle of the field. With the ability to see the field and create, An-derson is a solid option to control the tempo and distribute to the offense.

Also vying for time in the midfield is sophomore Connor McCarthy (Midlothian, VA/Clover Hill). McCarthy appeared in 12 games as a freshman and will give Laux some depth and options in the midfield.

The Tiger defense, which saw great success in 2009, will feature a mix of familiar and new faces. Returning to the starting lineup will be senior Sam Turner (Richmond, VA/Benedictine) and sophomore Curran Blackwell (Wil-son, NC/Greenfield). The two center backs have a great physical presence and will provide solid interior defense. They are also both solid in the air and win almost any-thing that comes their way. Turner, a three-year starter, will be the vocal leader of the defense and will look to continue the dominance he has been a part of for the past three years. The Tigers have no easy schedule in 2010 as they open up the regu-lar season at home on Septem-ber 1 against Averett. They then travel south to compete in Emory’s Sonny Carter Invitational on Septem-ber 4th and 5th before returning home on the 11th to host the Hampden-Sydney Classic where they will be playing Moravian College and Landmark Conference Champion and NCAA Tournament participant Catholic University.

Also competing for time in the back will be soph-omore Scott Cut-ler (Williamsburg, VA/Jamestown). Cutler showed good signs in his freshman season and has improved his game over the off season. He can pro-vide another smart and physical back for Coach Laux.

Looking to continue his stellar work between the pipes is senior keeper John Robert Plyler (Charlotte, NC/Myers Park). Plyler has been solid through his first three seasons amassing a 0.80 goals-against-average while also being named the 2007 ODAC Rookie of the Year and a Second Team honoree in 2009. Plyler will be backed up by two solid juniors, Jay Bowman (Durham, NC/Durham Acad-emy) and Duncan Oliphant (Annapolis, MD/Annapolis).

Josh Laux is the eighth head coach to lead the Soccer Tigers, taking over in 2004 for Bert Molinary, the winningest coach in Hampden-Sydney soccer history with 94 wins in just eight seasons.

Celebrating its 35th year of op-eration, the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) is one of the na-tion’s largest Division III conferences. The 14-member ODAC, including one associate member, stands as the second-largest mult-sport NCAA Di-vision III conference in the country.

The league was formed on May 18, 1975 as the Virginia College Confer-ence and began operations in Sep-tember of 1976. (The name change to Old Dominion Athletic Confer-ence became effective January 1, 1976). Charter members were eight colleges located in the state of Vir-ginia: Bridgewater College, Eastern Mennonite College, Emory & Henry College, Hampden-Sydney College, Lynchburg College, Randolph-Macon College, Roanoke College and Wash-ington and Lee University.

tion in 10 men’s varsity sports, including football, soccer, and cross country in the fall; basketball, wres-tling, and indoor track and field in the winter; and baseball, golf, tennis, and outdoor track and field in the spring. Women’s sports were added prior to the 1982-83 school year. To-day, the ODAC has grown to sponsor championships in 22 sports (10 men and 12 women) and houses nine full-time coeducational institutions with four single-gender schools making up the current 13 full-time members.

The conference expanded in the late 1980s, early 1990s and most recently in 1999. Virginia Wesleyan became the 13th member of the conference in 1988 and began full-scale compe-tition in the league in the 1989-90 academic year. Guilford College, voted into the conference in the spring of 1990, began competing for conference championships in the

1991-92 season. The Catholic Univer-sity of America (DC) was accepted for associate membership in football on January 12, 1999.

Over the past 17 years the confer-ence and the City of Salem, Va., have gained national attention through hosting five NCAA Divi-sion III championships in football, men’s basketball, softball, baseball, women’s lacrosse, and volleyball. The growing list of titles passed out in Salem began in the fall of 1993 with the DIII Football Championship. Through the 2009-10 academic year, the conference and city have hosted 49 NCAA Division III Championships since the 1993 Stagg Bowl. This year, the two will serve as hosts to the DIII football, men’s basketball and softball national championships.
