Summer School Planning Tentative as of 3-10-2010 Days in session: June 21 – July 29 Four Days per week Mon. – Thurs. Two academic sessions from 9-11:30 and 12- 2:30 - Checking on the lunch and breakfast options Holy Cross will provide recreational activities the other half of the day for the attendees Holy Cross will have buses available to transport to activities Students will pay a fee for the Holy Cross Activities Holy Cross will provide @ 10 staff members Groups basically broken into K-2 session and 3-5 Current K-5 graders eligible. Target the DIBELS intensive students as well as our ESL P, E and I students. Moving forward Lori G, Bob E and Nicole will work on developing the curriculum set up and standards for the academic portion Lori G/Susan Brewer will work with tech department to let them know summer school tech needs Judy will check with Kathleen B regarding the lunch/breakfast possibilities Tom will chat with Brent regarding the need for to-from bussing and Steve O regarding building use (done) Tom and Tim Jackson will meet with city rec. (Ken Fisher)and basin rec. (Bonnie Park) regarding access to facilities/programs Tom and Judy –work out budget. Next Meeting scheduled for March 23 at 11 AM at the PCLC Other – Family literacy can/will be offered over at the LC in conjunction with the summer school at MPES
