Purpose: A Federal Program to offset” the “coastal impact” of offshore oil and gas industry in Willacy County
County CIAP Funds FY07: $488,561 FY08: $488,561 FY09: $382,000 (estimated) FY10: $378,000 (estimated)
Eligible CIAP Projects Conservation, protection, or restoration of
coastal areas, including wetlands
Mitigation of damage to fish, wildlife, or natural resources
Planning assistance and the administrative costs
Implementation of a federally-approved marine, coastal, or comprehensive conservation management plan
Onshore infrastructure projects and public service needs
