Committing to the fellowshipAugust 2, 9 & 16 | Room 108
Recently Pastor Mike mentioned that the term koinonia in
Acts chapter two is most accurately translated the fellowship.
It was in the fellowship that believers were taught the truths
about God, worshipped and prayed, and celebrated communion.
In the midst of religious and societal persecution believers were
committed to the fellowship.
If youve not done so, now is a wonderful time for you to make
a greater commitment to this fellowship by becoming a member
of First Federated Church.
In our Fellowship Entry Point class you will learn more aboutthe history, beliefs, and opportunities within this local fellowship.
The 3 week class will be held on Sunday evenings beginning
August 2nd.
You can sign up on the Care & Communication Card or at the
table in the foyer/hall to take the next step to becoming a member
ofthis fellowship.

Upcoming FacilityImprovementsBy Gary L. Jaehnel, Facilities Manager
Two new improvement projects were recently reviewed by
staff and approved by the Deacons:
Refurbishing of Fellowship Hall
The cosmetic appearance of the space is going to be updated
with a look that will fit with the multi-use of the room.
Walls and ceiling will be painted using a modern color scheme,
fabric swags installed in the window openings, ceiling fans
replaced and electrical devices will be repaired and updated. Work has already begun and the project will be complete by
the end of July.
The bulk of this project is being funded by the FFC Wom-
ens Association and supplemented by private donors.
Cantilever Identication Signs Replacement
The objective is to bring the hallway signage up to date for the
1st floor of the E, S & SW Wings of our 1949 and 1956 building
sections. This will assist people unfamiliar with our facility.
The existing oak background signs with black characters will
be replaced with new signs using a navy blue background
and white characters.
All existing (and some missing) signs will be included in the
project.
The new signs will be installed within the next few weeks.
This project is being funded in its entirety by a private donor.
A special thank-you to the FFC Womens Association and
private donors. We appreciate their willingness to give above and
beyond their regular giving to the General Fund to make these
projects possible.

KZ ChurchThis is the seventh week of our incred-
ibly buggy summer and we still LOVE our
bugs! If youre a kid (or just want to see
what our kids are learning), come check out
MetamorphosisA God-directed, Life
Change Production in our new KZ Churchroom. Our bug friends are helping our kids understand how God
can change us into His beautiful creations, just as the caterpillar
goes through a transformation to become a butterfly.
This week we learned how God wants to transform the way
we work. No matter how young (or old!) we are, we need to be
teachable. We all need to grow and learn new things.
Proverbs 12:1 tells us, To learn, you must love discipline; it is
stupid to hate correction.
