Welcome to the Spirit Whispers Newsletter. As some

of you may be aware we are just returned from the

North Queensland leg of the 2009 Australian Tour. We

would like to thank you all who came to the shows.

Your Love is amazing, thank you.

We started this tour in conjunction with two Australian

Disasters – The floods in North Queensland and the

Fires in Victoria. It is a time of when Australians band

together and do what they can to help our brothers

and sisters in these most tragic of times.

The damage caused by the fires is almost

incomprehensive and it is one of the most tragic seen

in the history of our country. It is not just the humans

but also the animals, domestic and wild. If you allow

yourself to dwell on it all you can do is cry.

So much devastation in such a short time is one I

personally wish to never see again.

the last news letter I had two

very tragic losses, my very good

friend Rebmen and our little

bulldog George. It was as it

always is a period of deep

sadness for me. Patrick and I

recently bought a brand new

bulldog puppy named Miller.

He will never replace George

The first Retreat for 2009 is almost upon us and although we

thought it was filled, some people have opted to go later in the

year. This leaves us with a few vacancies for April. The outline

for the retreat is as below. The complete price for the four days

is $750 and this includes all food and accommodation.

Charmaine will be joined on this retreat by Peter Smith. Peter is

a Clinical Hypnotherapist from Melbourne and a Director of The

Newton Institute (USA). Peter specialises in Life between Lives

and Past Life Regression Therapy and assists people to uncover

the immortal aspects of their soul identities. He will present to

the group on the nature of the work he does and will also be

available to do individual sessions during the retreat. Depending

on your experience with hypnotherapy, meditation or relaxation

work, Peter will recommend a session that helps you to heal or

explore the deeper realms of your subconscious mind. If you

would like to undertake an individual session during the retreat,

Many of you have spoken to her and many of

you have had her pushing a microphone in your

face at shows but for those of you who do not

know, this is a picture of me and Debbie at the

Mt Gravatt Bowls club last December. Patrick

was inspired to take this delightful picture of

Debbie and me holding hands after she

presented me with the Friendship badge for

Christmas.

Deb and me in 20 Years

Debbie has been an

absolute godsend to me.

I am sure my mum chose

her before she died.

When she met Deb, she

resigned to her illness

and slipped away to the

other side.

After Mum died I was

headed for certain

bankruptcy but Deb

came along and worked

for free for quite a long

time until things started

to get better.

Without her Spirit

Whispers would not be

here today and I may

well have had to give up

touring and maybe even

go back to the dreaded

Smoko van. So Deb, I am

glad that we found each

other and may you

always be there to put

up with me. Thank You

xxx

Many people in times like this often ask me - Why?

My answer may be a hard one to understand but try and grasp it. In times like now, a whole

nation comes together and as one our hearts and souls join those who have lost it all and we do

what we can no matter how little, just to help. With these actions, there is a mass development

of compassion and empathy, two of the essential elements needed for our eternal soul

evolution. The personal losses of the many victims are their own personal and private hells or

lessons, whichever way you choose to view it. Their struggle has begun from the ashes of the

fires and will continue for a long time after the last ember has been put out. Some will grow

strength and some will falter and lose faith, however it is a place where many of you who are

reading these words have travelled before. We have all felt loss and sorrow, maybe not on such

a tragic scale as the current one, but we have all felt it when saying goodbye to a loved one,

losing everything through bad financial decisions but one way or another we have felt it.

From the beginning of time humans have dealt with loss and now it is the turn of these

unfortunate souls to feel it but as a nation we are stepping up to the plate and digging deep

and that is something we should be very proud of. Yes, disasters will happen and everyday

tragedy strikes somewhere but the thing is to let the grief you feel fuel your heart with

understanding and strengthen your soul with compassion instead of becoming embittered and

by presenting a brave face to the world you become a great teacher to all you meet.
