Taste of Clarkton (September)Voted one of the top three “Best Flavor” events in Michigan by The Detroit News!

Independence Township Parks and Recreation partners with the Clarkston Chamber of Commerce for this event. For

Turkey Shoot (November)

Each year, Parks and Recreation seasonal employees participate in the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life to support finding a cure for cancer.

Relay for Life

Sponsorship cost: $500 - large 14 in. x 14 in. paver, 4 lines of text, 18

characters per line; $500 - 6-foot fence section, plaque with 4 lines, 18

characters per line; $200 - medium 10 in. x 10 in. paver, 3 lines of text, 18 characters per line; $100 - small 5 in. x 10 in. paver, 2 lines of text,

18 characters per line.

Sponsor value: Visibility of your paver/fence and its personalized message to

thousands of people each year.

Built in memory of a longtime Parks & Recreation camp counselor, the Spraypark at Clintonwood averages over 18,000 visitors yearly.

accepted; sponsorship recognition will vary on the nature of

the gift. All money goes to the American Cancer Society.

Consistently attracting over 1,000 participants year after year, “America’s Past-time” is one of Parks and Recreation’s most popular programs.
