Malibu Kayaks is a leading manufacturer of roto-molded, linear polyethylene sit-on-top kayaks. Malibu Kayaks is best known for manufacturing dry sit-on-top kayaks that are comfortable, stable, stylish, versatile, and affordable.

Malibu Kayaks began manufacturing a little over 10 years ago, with the Pro 2 Tandem being introduced in 1999. President and owner, Sean Caples has been involved in the water sports business for well over 20 years. His passion for water sports began with wind surfing and evolved into the world of kayaking. Sean started manufacturing Malibu Kayaks after being an enthusiast first, then a teacher, and then a reseller of kayaks throughout the 80’s and the 90’s. It began in a small surf shop in Malibu during the early 90’s, evolving over the years into the world-wide recognizable brand that we are today! He began his business on the philosophy of fulfilling the needs and the wants of the fisherman, and has continued to design kayaks with that same philosophy to this day!

Malibu Kayaks has earned worldwide recognition for its quality, performance, and weight capacity. The Pro 2 Tandem, Extreme, Pro Explorer, X-Factor and the Mini-X are the designs that helped build this well deserved reputation. In 2008 the performance-minded X-13 was introduced and for 2009, the Stealth Series is being introduced with the patented CBTS. These valuable design features combined with an unparalleled limited lifetime warranty makes Malibu Kayaks one of the most attractive kayaks on the market today.

Designing innovative products to enhance the kayaking experience has always been the primary reason why Malibu Kayaks stand out from the rest of their competitors. This is the first of its kind, a casting platform and a bait tank system that doesn't require the painful task of priming the pump and you don't have to strain yourself reaching behind you to get your bait.
