Planning, Research & Assessment

Welcome

The Penn State Berks Planning, Research & Assessment Office has created the 2008 Environmental Scan to aide in future planning initiatives at the College.  This document contains population and demographic information from the U.S. Census Bureau’s 2006 American Community Survey http://www.census.gov/acs/www/.  Pennsylvania state and county data is provided.  The focus was put on Berks County and several other surrounding counties, where the majority of Penn State Berks student population resides.  The data gathered will give the College a more defined look at the population eligible to enroll at Penn State Berks.

The Environmental Scan contains several chapters: Overall Population Age and Gender Race School Enrollment Income Commute Time Labor
