    AlHuda Center of Islamic Banking andEconomics (CIBE) is a well established

    name in Islamic financial Market which isworking in the field of Islamic Banking andEconomics from the last 7 years in Pakistanand around the globe.     The Yemen Microfinance Network (YMN)was established as a result of a joint projectof the Social Fund for Development (SFD)and United Nations Development Program(UNDP) aimed at establishing the countrysfirst professional microfinance association.Since its establishment the networkfocused on the fore mentioned priorityissues, providing up to date 38 trainingcourses that benefited more than 500beneficiaries, It also focused on increasingtransparency in the Yemeni sector producing quarter reports of financial andnon-financial indicators and a number of researches and surveys such as acompensation survey, and the impact of crises on microfinance.

    Training Summary

    Yemen has a population size of 23Million, one of the most ethnicallyhomogenous in the region, with 3%population annual growth rate. 71%of the population lives in the ruraland 29% in urban areas. 34.8% livebelow the poverty line. Overall,social and economic circumstancesin Yemen create a homogenoustraditional society where many

    decisions are influenced by thereligious considerations. So, IslamicMicrofinance would be highlyaccepted there and would ultimatelyhelp in reducing poverty of Yemen.

    Islamic Microfinance is an emergingmarket in the field of Islamic finance,so there is an immediate need toeducate, train and conduct market

    study and awareness campaigns onthis subject. The aim of this trainingis to provide edification andtrainings to Microfinance & FinanceProfessional with an additionalopportunity for their educationaluplift under Islamic financial system.
