For 2019, FIAT® 500X engineers delivered their latest take on turbo technology

with an all-new direct-injection 1.3L 16V MultiAir Turbo engine. Standard

on all 500X models, it will power all of your adventures with 177 horsepower

and 210 lb-ft of torque. Featuring Engine Stop/Start (ESS) technology, the

efficiencies of this engine mean better fuel economy,10 lower emissions and

improved performance compared to naturally aspirated 4-cylinder engines.

X = AWDEvery FIAT® 500X comes equipped with the don’t-think-twice-about-it conf idence of All-Wheel Drive (AWD). This technologically advanced standard feature arms 500X drivers with an innovative drive system that brings additional functionality and improvements over previous AWD systems. It provides excellent traction and responsive per formance on slippery sur faces and during aggressive star ts.

This is a system that requires no input from the driver when in Auto mode — FIAT 500X knows when to fully engage its AWD. The secret is a disconnecting rear axle that automatically selects Front-Wheel Drive (FWD) or AWD based on various input. All actions are intelligently and seamlessly engaged based on conditions and driving style. And while the system boasts traction management advances, it also works with the Electronic Stability Control (ESC)11

system to improve dynamic handling.

The FIAT® Dynamic Selector puts three customized driving modes at your f ingertips:

AUTO MODE is designed for the everyday, routine stuff — it will smooth things out to help optimize fuel eff iciency, emissions and comfort.

SPORT MODE is for those who’d prefer spirited performance with a little more road feel. With it, the Electronic Stability Control (ESC)11 and steering calibrations are tuned for a sportier feel and faster driving response. Additionally, Sport

Mode optimizes the transmission shift points for improved performance and accelerator feedback.

TRACTION+ MODE maximizes low-speed traction — the kind you need when things get a little slick or bumpy. It all works by providing additional wheel-slip through specially tuned chassis controls and a more direct engine response.
