The operator of Unit 3 stated he was stopped in traffic on N. Leavitt Rd. near 612 N. Leavitt Rd when he was struck from behind by Unit 2.

The operator of Unit 2 stated he observed Unit 3 stopped for traffic in front of him so he started to slow down. The operator of Unit 2 stated just before he came to a complete stop behind Unit 3 he was struck from behind by Unit 1. The operator of Unit 2 stated after being struck by Unit 1 his vehicle was pushed forward and into the rear bumper of Unit 3.

The operators of Unit 2 and Unit 3 stated the operator of Unit 1 stopped after the accident and spoke with them. They both advised after speaking the female operator of Unit 1 left the scene. The onlyinformation they were able to provide regarding Unit

1 was that the vehicle was red in color and it was an older four door sedan with damage to the front grill. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate Unit 1.

Unit 2's front grill was crushed inward causing the plastic grill and bumper to crack. The rear bumper of Unit 2 had red transfer paint on the center top of the bumper. Unit 3's rear bumper and tailgate was crushed inward causing the tailgate to be inoperable.
