Wells Fargo CenterThis project is a series of three 18” x 24” charcoal drawings. As the drawings progress, the view zooms in closer revealing different scales of architectural space.

Interior Reflections Interior Reflections studies interior light and reflected space. It also looks at figures and how they balance, how they are proportioned in perspective, and how they cast shadows using a 2’ x 3’ charcoal medium.

Noise CancelationUsing hypersonic sound, this group project developed from a personal stereo device into virtual classroom walls. Research into hypersonic and noise canceling technologies led to the feasible proposal of a system that cancels noise from other areas of a classroom.

ELL AssistanceBuilding on previous research, this group project developed an assistive learning device for English Language Learners in American highschools. It delivers non-disruptive translations placing ELL students in mainstream classrooms 2 to 4 years sooner.

Roof GardenThis project explored a need for space in the Sheldon Art Museum’s green space. The proposal is sited in the unused roof space of the museum. It offers pathways whose form is informed by vistas of the city, and an elevator lobby topped by a roof terrace.

Hexagonal SurfaceThis project started with 32 study models, the best of which were aggregated. The resulting surface provides space for outdoor street level dining. The surface lets the food’s aroma out and draws pedestrians to the door through the perspective aggregation.

String SpaceThis group project utilizes string, fabric, and lighting to create a new space for people to converge on. The Makey Makey device adds activity to the space by making some of the strings opraeble so that sound is created when they are touched.

Conformable SeatsFocusing on the relationship between the built environment and humans, this project looks at the way the body conforms to current bleacher systems and responds with one that conforms to the body. The inflated system receives the body and bends for conversation.

Pliers ModelingThis project modeled a pair of pliers represented through a series of ribs. At the end of the project these ribs translated into a laser cut chip board model. The model was constructed so that its hinge is opraeble.

Face TectonicsThis project starts by modeling my head in Rhino. Then that model is subjected to a series of transformations in Grasshopper that led to an abstract form of a building with a sun screen, cladding, and floorplates.
