Albury North Public School Term 1, Week 9 23 March 2020

Should I keep my child away from school ? Schools will remain open for families that have no

option but to send their children to school. Is our school still open? Yes and will remain open for the rest of the school

term unless health advice changes. Do we have enough soap and toilet paper? Yes.

What else are we doing at school this week to help

our students ? • More outdoor learning activities • Washing our hands more regularly • School cleaning hours have been increased How will we update you with any new information ?

Facebook is immediate, then use our normal communication channels - our school website,

newsletter and extra notes home.

If my child is at home, can I have some work for my

child ? At this stage, we have been advised in the short

term that the Department of Education will be

making available learning activities that can be

completed at home. There will be a digital and

paper version. Here is the best spot for more information : https://education.nsw.gov.au/teaching-and-learning/

curriculum/learning-from-homeThe NSW DoE will be moving towards an on-line

learning model. You can help our planning enormously by completing the Mathletics and Readings Egg survey sent out last week. At this

stage, we have 25% of surveys returned. We have

sent home passwords again today. They are the

same for both. For the past week our leadership group has been

working on developing some additional activities

that we may use if we are asked to stop school for a

longer period of time. These will be released as

necessary. Paul Smith, Principal

HANG IN THERE! These are challenging times for all of us but we love the way our students have turned up each day ready to learn and give their best. Just look at the determination on these faces during the final gymnastics session of the We Can
