Furthermore,epidemiological data indicate that uric acid may be an independent risk factor for hype rten si on‑associ ated morbidity and mortality. Renal excretion of uric acid clearly increased in hyperthyroid patients, and CUA also increased.The increase in CUA corresponded to the increase in renal plasma flow (RPF) Methods: a cross sectional study that involved hyperthyroid patients. TSH and sUA level were measured and analysed with spearman correlation test. Result: 48 subjects, 13 and 35 were male and female with mean age of 47,35 ± 13,16 years. The mean TSH before treatment was 0,08 ± 0,169. The plasma uric acid was taken before the treatment. There is no significant association between uric acid and TSH (r = ‑0,326, p = 0,12) Conclusion: there is no significant association between uric acid and TSH. Keyword : THS, Uric acid Page 1
