Objective: serum uric acid concentration (sUA) and hyperthyroidism have been reported to be positivelyassociated with each other. Furthermore, epidemiological data indicate that uric acid may be anindependent risk factor for hype rten si on‑associ ated morbidity and mortality. Renal excretion of uricacid clearly increased in hyperthyroid patients, and CUA also increased. The increase in CUAcorresponded to the increase in renal plasma flow (RPF)Methods: a cross sectional study that involved hyperthyroid patients. TSH and sUA level were measuredand analysed with spearman correlation test.Result: 48 subjects, 13 and 35 were male and female with mean age of 47,35 ± 13,16 years. Themean TSH before treatment was 0,08 ± 0,169. The plasma uric acid was taken before thetreatment. There is no significant association between uric acid and TSH (r = ‑0,326, p = 0,12)Conclusion: there is no significant association between uric acid and TSH.
