Elsa Schiaparelli Known as the “Trompe L'oeil Sweater”, this Schiaparelli original flew off the shelves everywhere it could be found and is remembered as one of the most iconic pieces of the time.

In a decade of muted colors like black, gray, and beige, Schiaparelli was one of the first to experiment with bright colors.

Jean PatouFeatured in many of his garments, beige was Patou’s signature color.

Jean Patou specialized in sportswear. Shown to the right is one of his very first tennis pieces.
