Weekend Masses will be covered by Fr. John Wilmering

DEACON NEAL’S REFLECTION CORNER We've all heard the story of the Good Samaritan which we hear in the Gospel today. The person that I want to focus on today is the scholar who asked Jesus the question on what he must do to get to heaven. The scholar was seeking answers and he came to the right place; Jesus. Jesus answered his question but the scholar wasn't just satisfied with that. He wanted to go deeper. So then Jesus gives him the example of the Good Samaritan. Sometimes we may have a question and hear the answer and are satisfied with any response, when we should really seek a deeper answer to the question. We need to take the time to study our faith, seek the truth, and come to a greater awareness of the love that God has for us. Then we can we can love the Lord our God with our whole heart, mind and soul which will lead us to love our neighbor as ourselves. The scholar gave us a great path to follow today. Seek the Lord while he may be found. Go deeper in our pursuit of the truth.
God Bless, Deacon Neal

Developed locally by Christ Renews His Parish alumni – and backed by numerous bishops and priests in the Kansas and Mis-souri Diocese – we are pleased to introduce our parish family to MyFaithWalk.org.
Described as “Google for Catholics,” Faith Walk is an easy-to-use online tool for your personal spiritual journey. I have been informed that Augustine Alilonu, formerly a priest of the Diocese of Fargo, and operating illicitly here in the area and territory of the Archdiocese of St. Louis,
has been dismissed from the clerical state as of May 16, 2019 by Pope Francis.
I wish to share with you this particular information that we have received from the Bishop of Fargo: “Augustine Alilonu,
formerly a priest of the Diocese of Fargo, has illicitly operated in the territory of the Archdiocese of St. Louis. On 16 May 2019
the Holy Father dismissed Mr. Alilonu from the clerical state (“laicized”) as a penalty for persistent disobedience to legitimate ecclesiastical authority. Mr. Alilonu does not
represent the Catholic Church, and may not exercise priestly ministry. Likewise, Mr. Alilonu has been implicated in several
instances of financial malfeasance. He is not authorized to fundraise in the Archdiocese of St. Louis. The faithful are
encouraged to exercise caution should Mr. Alilonu approach them for financial or material assistance.”
