My Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
We are so very blessed to celebrate our 40 Hours of
Eucharistic Adoration this weekend. Hopefully you have
had a chance to come and spend an hour with our Blessed
Lord over this time. I would like to remind you of our
Solemn Closing of Adoration this Sunday at 6:00 p.m.
We will be joined by priests and deacons from the Diocese
for Vespers, Procession and Benediction. We are very
happy to have Fr. Michael Mary, a newly ordained
Dominican Priest, preach the closing. Please come and be
part of the event.
Our Altar Servers are reminded to meet in Knights Hall at
5:00 p.m. Sunday for a practice for the Procession. All of
the Second Graders from last year are welcome to meet in
the vestibule of the Church in their First Communion
outfits at 5:45 p.m.
I would like to take a moment to commend our Knights of
Columbus for the beautiful job they did in refinishing the
floor in Knights Hall. Thank you, men, and God bless you.
May God’s blessings be yours this week. Father Ireland
P.S. As mentioned at the Masses last weekend, the Parish

General: That journalists, in carrying out their work, may
always be motivated by respect for truth and a strong sense
of ethics.
Mission: That World Mission Day may renew within all
Christian communities the joy of the Gospel and the
responsibility to announce it.
Let us pray for these couples who will be joined in the
Sacrament of Marriage during the month of October:
III. Meghan Highland (Sacred Heart of Jesus)
and Craig Weissbrod
III. Michael Nalepka (St. Paschal Baylon)
and Li Hua Tao
I. Lisa Ann Krajnak (Sacred Heart of Jesus)
and Allan Joseph Nowak (Our Lady of Guadalupe)
These quotes are from the recently
canonized St. Teresa of Calcutta.
They are a wonderful meditation
on the Beatitudes given to the
Apostles by Jesus., and to each of
us through our membership in His
Church.
Please take time this week to read
these several times and measure your reaction to them
resounding in your heart.
“When inconvenience and unwantedness justify a decision
by one human being to destroy another, and society accepts
that decision, it is time for a prophetic people to spak out.
We must be the voices of the helpless, the innocent and the
weak in our society because if we don’t speak out for them,
who will?” United States Conference of Catholic Bishops
“Baby-killing would not be the law of the land nor
euthanasia a frightening probablity if more of us still
worshipped God as both Author and Lord of human life, if
we really believed that each human being—no matter how
small or old or wretched—is made equally in the image of
God and is meant to dwell with Him for all eternity …
When He ‘shall wipe away every tear.’ The law is only a
mirror, reflecting the nobility or the depravity of the society
that stands before it.” Dr. Paul Marx “The Mercy Killers”
Upon his arrival in Poland, Pope Francis immediately
began by speaking in defense of the unborn—The Pope
started his five-day trip reminding the Polish people that
“life must always be welcomed and protected. These two
things go together—welcome and protection, from
conception to natural death.” Pope Francis
“How can the ‘Dream’ survive if we murder the children?
Every aborted baby is like a slave in the womb of his or her
mother. The mother decides his or her fate.” Martin Luther King
