Robert Spencer, decided to take their signature sound and chemistry to audiences everywhere, bringing to life their favorite 1960s hits. The show includes jump to your feet musical numbers from iconic idols such as The Beatles, The Jackson 5, The Temptations and The Four Seasons. The New York Times says, “Sidling up to the microphone, the singers had the air of the Rat Pack, Motown and a nightclub act rolled into one,” while the New York Daily News proclaims, “The Midtown Men sound as crisp as their Rat Pack-inspired suits. Their voices blend together so flawlessly on stage.” The Oklahoman praised the Midtown Men for “a joyous and nostalgic trip through the music of the 1960s with terrific orchestral charts,” adding, “this high-spirited evening kicked the audience’s adrenaline into overdrive.”

TUE. NOV. 24 I 7:30 PMWED. NOV. 25 I 7:30 PMRelease Date: Thu. Aug. 20, 2015A mother. A daughter. Three possible dads. And a trip down the aisle you’ll never forget! Set in a beach resort in the Mediterranean, Mamma Mia! tells the story of Sophie, a bride-to-be with one wish: to have her absent father walk her down the aisle. After reading passages about three old lovers in her mom’s diary, Sophie sends each a wedding invitation in hopes of learning which is her dad. The arrival of the men from her past is surprising to Donna, Sophie’s fiercely independent mother, who prides herself on getting through life without a man, and highly amusing to Donna’s two best gal pals. The more Sophie and her mother struggle to find truth and understanding, the more it threatens to tear them apart and wreck Sophie’s dream wedding. Calling all ABBA fans, this has your name written all over it. The songs are all culled from the Swed-ish super-group’s songbook, and this is one Broadway show where singing along (and dancing in the aisles) is encouraged.

SAT. DEC. 5 I 7:30 PMRelease Date: Tue. Sept. 1, 2015The laid-back band from Greenville, Texas, quickly evolved from being Christian music’s fastest-selling new act in 2001 to one of the most successful bands in all musical genres, selling more than 2 million re-cords in only three years and earning an American Music Award nomi-nation.

Now the band, which has been together for about ten years, has grown beyond its label as “a Christian band” and become nationally known as a great rock group that tackles such serious themes as God and love. Their music is appealing to both devout Christians who study the Bible and young teens who devour Rolling Stone.

P. ALLEN SMITHvan wert BLOOMSwith P. Allen Smith & Friends

SAT. APR. 16 I 8 AM - 4 PM $45 Includes Breakfast & LunchCelebrity Garden Designer, P. Allen Smith, will be a keynote speaker during the Van Wert Blooms Gardening Sym-posium. Garden enthusiasts and friends from surrounding states will be gathering at the Niswonger for a full day of informative speakers, Q&A’s and book signings. Smith will be the featured speaker of the conference. In his pre-sentation, Smith will share stories and scenes gathered from his wide-ranging travels to world-class gardens while taping programs for his nationally syndicated television shows. He will offer tales about many of the fascinating gardeners he has met along the way - some zany, others serious, but all passionate about their plants. Smith will offer plenty of bottom-line gardening advice, with a dash of down-home humor and lots of real-life anecdotes. His career as a best selling author, award winning television host and frequent guest on the Today Show have brought him national acclaim, including the prestigious 2006 National Medal of Honor from the Garden Club of America. He will be available after his lecture to sign copies of his Garden Home series of books. Along with P. Allen Smith are noted industry experts who will also share the stage and be available for inquisitive minds. Master Gardeners can earn 6 CEU’s from attending. More information on each speaker is available at NPACVW.ORG.
