INSTRUCTIONAL COURSE4th Advanced Knee Surgery Course7 – 8 November 2014Instructional Course, Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, University of Basel, Switzerland
Dear Colleagues,
Knee surgery is a rapidly developing field in orthopaedic surgery. New strategies have to prove their reliability in discussions and in clinical practice. This course thus wants to concentrate on advanced techniques and controversial issues in reconstructive and arthro-plastic knee surgery.
The topics of advanced knee surgery will be presented by renowned national and interna-tional speakers, and the various techniques demonstrated during cadaver surgery. Parti-cipants will be given the opportunity to deepen their knowledge through discussion and hands–on cadaver workshops benefiting from a high instructor/participant index of 1:3.
We are happy to run this “4th Advanced Knee Surgery Course” at the venerable domed section hall of the Basel University Institute of Anatomy with especially Thiel–embalmed (natural–soft) cadavers. In this traditional facility, we wish to provide optimal requirements for an effective exchange of knowledge and a genuine, lifelike experience. With this cada-ver course, the University of Basel aims at extending the understanding of knee surgery in both: reconstructive knee surgery and sequential knee arthroplasty.
We look forward to welcoming you to this special course here in Basel!
Yours sincerely,
PD Dr. Geert Pagenstert PD Dr. Jochen Paul
