1. Sufficient animators according to the number of children • Provide sufficient animators so that every child

feels supported and not left behind in the activities;

• Establish a ratio of 1 animator for every 10 children. More children and the animator will not be able to pay attention to every one of them and the activity can become dangerous;

• Double the number of animators if the entertainment activities take place outside.

3. The Miniclub must have a fence and a self-closing door

• Equip your Miniclub with a fence and a self-closing door so you can have a limited space for the children to play;

• This is highly recommended so no kid can be separated from the group and wander the hotel without an animator’s supervision.

4. Make sure there are sufficient toilets

• Provide 1 toilet for every 10 children so no one has the need to leave the Miniclub;

• The toilets must be built attending to the needs of children, which means a smaller size and safer materials in the construction;

• There should also be a toilet specifically for the animators so they don’t have to leave the facilities and leave the children unattended.

5. Equip the Miniclub with big windows

• The Miniclub must have big windows in order to offer good conditions in indoors activities;

• Big windows let in a lot of natural light that children need so they can grow healthier;

• They also help to ventilate the space more effectively without falling back to air conditioning.

7. Cover the floor with special material

• Activities directed to children are dynamic and often require exercise, the reason why you should provide a pavement made of rubber;

• This way you will prevent damages since even if children fall, it will be harder for them to be wounded;

• One of the problems with indoors activities are its electric outlets and wires;

• The parents should fill a registration form as their children enter the Miniclub and it should be the same ones to pick them up;

Miniclub, the animator should take the chance to inform them of all the activities that will take place;

14. Animators should learn about the familiarity of the children with pools

• Not all children are familiar with pools and aquatic environments so it should be mandatory that children that want to participate know how to swim;

• The animator should ask the parents about the subject and decide if the children can participate;
