ALUMNI CONSTITUTION & BYLAWS COMMITTEE REPORT
Grand Vice President for Alumni Affairs Traci Thompson (Lambda)[email protected]
Happy New Year! With each New Year comes many attempts at resolutions for a better year. In a similar fashion, we are asking for each Brother to Resolve to be Involved for the coming year and we have listed several ways you can do so below!
• Resolve to be Involved - Pay your National Alumni Dues or become a Lifetime Member and Resolve to support the Fraternity.
• Resolve to be Involved - If you are a Collegiate Brother and in your last few months of being a student, make the pledge now to be a Brother for Life and Resolve to remain Involved after graduation
• Resolve to be Involved - Make your reservations now to attend your Regional Conference.
• Resolve to be Involved - Join your Regional Phi Delta Chi Facebook page and Resolve to remain updated on any events.
• Resolve to be Involved - Like the National Phi Delta Chi Facebook page and Resolve to be Involved
• Resolve to be Involved - Volunteer with your local Collegiate or Alumni Chapter
• Resolve to be Involved - Form an Alumni Chapter in your area and Resolve to Keep Brothers Involved
2014 and 2015 are going to be the years of Alumni Affairs for Phi Delta Chi. The Alumni Constitution and Bylaws Committee have been working diligently since the 69th Grand Council on finalizing our proposed changes to the Constitution and Bylaws. The Committee took into consideration the discussion at Grand Council and from the Open Forum Survey results. The new changes proposed are due to the great collaboration of the many committee members who I greatly appreciate. We are asking each Brother to become familiar with the changes proposed to be ready to vote on the changes at the Regional Conferences this Spring. The date, location, and hosting Chapters are listed on the following page, please attend one if you are able!

What changes are proposed? Please view the complete document HERE. The Committee separated the changes into four sections including: Graduate Brothers, Governing Document Modernization, Alumni Chapter Formation & Delegates, and Alumni Chapter Voting. The Committee believes these are the best changes for the advancement of Alumni Affairs and improvement of alumni involvement.
We understand there is a lot of emotion with these changes, and want everyone to feel comfortable with the proposal. Please feel free to contact myself or any of our Committee members for assistance.
