AIRFIELD WORLD CONGRESS 2015 SEPTEMBER 29 – 30, 2015 KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA

PARTNERSHIP PROSPECTUS

THE BIG IDEA Airfield World Congress, in its sixth year, is back in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia this September 2015. With air travel and aviation infrastructure investment growing proportionately, new challenges emerge: how to develop new airfield assets which will integrate future operational requirements? Upgrading the existing airfields to synchronize with the demands of new and heavier aircraft is another key area owners/operators are turning to. They require higher degree of technological adaptation to ensure improvement to the airport’s operational efficiency while attempting large scale airfield expansions. The 6th Annual Airfield World Congress is seeking to present best practices for faster delivery of airfield up gradation projects, newer techniques in airfield maintenance and new material technologies. The region’s only engineering event also just got better: Professional Engineering Board, Singapore has awarded CPD points for all practicing engineers in the aviation industry.

THE OPPORTUNITY

At the centre of this rapidly growing region sits Malaysia, home to one of the world’s busiest airports catering for over 50 million passengers a year - making it the perfect venue for Asia Pacific’s gathering dedicated to the whole airport industry.

Asia Pacific’s developing countries are recording some of the best economic growth rates in the world and with this trend set to continue, there is no better time for an exhibition focussed on the airport industry.

8.4% Asia Pacific region is forecasted as the fastest growing aviation market over the next twenty years at 8.4% per annum.

20 YEARS

South East Asia’s large population, rapidly expanding middle class and booming economies provide perfect ingredients for rising investment and demand in air travel, both locally and internationally. The rapid growth of aviation in the region has resulted in a wide range of current as well as planned investments in all sectors of the industry by governments, airlines, and other aviation companies totalling billions of dollars.

By 2025 South East Asian airports are expected to handle more than three times the volume of movements handled in 2005, with growth averaging 6 per cent per annum. South East Asia has been the location of the best airports in the world and continues this trend.
