Ugly Xmas Sweater Day

Thursday Dec 7th

Students and staff come to school wearing ugly sweaters and if they did they can receive candy in the foyer at lunch.

Wreath TossFridayFriday Dec 8th

This would be a basic ring throw activity held in the foyer with wreaths instead of rings. Winners will get candy.

Christmas KaraokeMonday Dec 11th

Students would come to the foyer where we would have a projector and stereo with christmas music playing. Participants would receive candy.

Christmas Caption Contest

Tuesday December 12th

Christmas themed stock photos would be provided to students. Throughout the day they are able to come up with funny captions and enter a contest judged by student council for best captions

Cookie Decorating DayWednesday December 13th

Student would be provided with plain gingerbread cookies and supplies to embellish cookies for a charge.

Mystery BoxesThursday December 14th

Gift items would be placed in boxes into which students can reach. The first student to correctly guess the contents of the box will keep the gift.

The 12 Days of Christmas!

BreakfastFriday, December 15th

Student Council would come early and make breakfast for the students. Students would come at 7:45 and pay for an arrangement of food including pancakes, sausages, fruit, and beverages.

Wrapping ContestMonday, December 18th

Oddly shaped items would be wrapped by students in competition while rap music plays. Prizes would be provided for the best wrapping and quickest wrapping.

Bake SaleTuesday, December 19th& Wednesday December 20th

Student council members would provide baked goods to be sold at “Mrs. Clause’s cafe”. These proceeds would be distributed between covering our expenses and a non-profit of our choice

Thursday December 21st

Mr. Moore has volunteered to be santa, photos would be sent to students by email.

This could also just be a christmas photo booth

Candy Cane Grams

Friday December 22nd

These would be distributed to students on the last day. These include a short note that has a kind message to the student.

Similar to last years anti-bullying day door decorating contest. This could also be a wreath decorating

contest that are put on the door. All classes participate and the winners

are awarded prizes

Ongoing Events

Elf on the Shelf

An elf on the shelf doll would be hidden

somewhere in the school each day with prizes

provided to the first student to find it.

Christmas door decorating contest

Decoration and PromotionWe would like to decorate the foyer and possibly other parts of the school with a wintery theme. This would possibly include:

- Christmas trees

- Fake snow (not the messy kind)

- Christmas lights Ornaments, wreaths, etc.

- A speaker playing holiday music throughout the day( similar to last year).

We would also like to get in contact with the PAC and ask if we could use any of their supplies as they have a large amount of christmas decorations.

Promotion will include:

-Posters all around the school for the purpose of explaining the whole event and details about specific events.

-A slide show on the TV’s in the hall

-Daily announcements as the events are going on

- A message in the newsletter, on the twitter page, the website, student council social media and any other platform you believe would be a good idea.
